Measles is on the rise around Aotearoa.
Common symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, sore eyes, followed by a red rash starting on the face and spreading down the body (typically 10โ14 days after exposure).
Suspected cases: isolate immediately, and contact your GP or public health line for testing.

Two scheduled MMR doses should be given at 12 months and 15 months of age. Children who have not received two documented doses can be offered catch-up doses, given at least 4 weeks apart. If a child receives an MMR0 dose before 12 months of age, they still require the two scheduled doses at 12 months and 15 months. We have both a Nurse and Pharmacist trained to provide this vaccination service.
People are considered immune if they:
Were born before 1 January 1969, or
Have had two documented MMR doses after 12 months of age.
If you are unsure of your vaccination status please speak to our team, we are here to help.
