How is a Reiki treatment given? In a standard treatment Reiki energy flows from the practitioners hands into the client. The client is usually laying on a massage table but treatments can also be given while the client is seated or even standing. The client remains fully clothed. The practitioner places her hands on or near the clients body in a series of hand positions. These include positions ar

ound the head and shoulders, the stomach, and feet. Other, more specific positions may be used based on the clients needs. Each position is held for three to ten minutes depending on how much Reiki the client needs at each position. The whole treatment usually lasts between 45 to 90 minutes. Reiki promotes well being on a physical, mental, emotional,& spiritual, level. by using divine energy to help regain the natural flow of energy that helps promote self healing. It is believed that physical illness can stem from emotional and mental state of mind ! this is where a course of reiki treatments can help by healing the source of the problem and can there fore avoid long term costs on quick fix remedies and gives long term results on general well being and energy levels as well as the improved state of mind to cope better with stressful situation.
