HOW DOES SOUND THERAPY WORK?

Everything in the universe vibrates at its own unique frequency called a “resonant frequency.” All the cells, tissues, and organs in our bodies vibrate their unique resonant frequency. When we are healthy, everything in the body is vibrating in harmony. Dis-ease results when a part of our body begins to vibrate at a different rate, out of harmony with the rest. Through the concept of resonance, sound can be used to change the vibration of the dis-eased part to bring back a healthy state of being.

As our Crystal Singing Bowls are played and sounded, the powerful rhythmic vibrations resonate throughout the body. These harmonic vibrations stimulate the alpha and theta brain waves associated with deep meditative and peaceful states which promote healing. They also slow down the heart and respiratory rate, creating a therapeutic effect upon the mind and body. When the brain waves and the body are synchronized, balance can be restored and stress is released.

Inward Bound - Well-being Retreat for girls

Another fabulous couple of days going within to tap into our inner reservoirs of strength, peace and creativity.

Henna, goat yoga, breath work, journalling, learning to hold space for eachother without words, sound healing, nature walks, laughing, sharing, dancing, chatting with mentors and mixing mindful potions…

This is all that was Inward Bound in October.
