Ngaa mihi mahana mo te tau 2026!

Three words come to mind ...Seaside, Simplicity, Synergy...enjoying a summer holiday with whanau in Gracetown, WA.

Reflecting on the past year...a big warm hug to all my new and old tauira, my travel companions and my mahi Romiromi colleagues.
The Kapiti coast and Invercargill workshops were a highlight, as was our annual Rarotonga workshop and the intimate workshops at home in Rotorua.
As the decades go by I realise I have stopped searching and become more accepting of the mysterious soul path that presents itself often in a unique way.

Romiromi in Rarotonga-excited to be taking our traditional Polynesian healing back to one of its original whenua. Our workshop this July in Matavera is already booked out. I will miss kaimahi Cran and Mihaka but look forward to them returning to Rotorua for our August Whenua Ora Workshop. Here are some pics from our last Rarotonga Wānanga.

The Arts Village Rotorua was a great space for our first Romiromi Wānanga this year. A huge mihi to cousin Huia for co-facilitating and all the tauira who travelled from Portugal, Australia and Aotearoa to step into this healing journey. Our next intro/level 1 workshop in Rotorua is March 29-30

Embracing 2025 -Ngā mihi o te tau hou !
A quarter of a century ago I started my Romiromi journey. One of my first lessons with the late Papa Hohepa Delamere was on Aotea (Great Barrier Island) where I recently returned with my mokopuna for their great grandmother’s unveiling.
Papa’s main lesson was to practice ‘zero energy’. Today I pass this valuable lesson on to tauira (students), as it’s a key component of working in ‘neutrality’.
I am grateful for and honour all the tauira who have come to wānanga over the past fifteen years, especially those now perpetuating our traditional mahi, our healing taonga, assisting people into wellbeing.
Our first Romiromi-Introductory Level 1 workshop will embrace the new year in January 18-19. There will be follow-up wānanga/workshops throughout the year, a highlight being a return to Rarotonga, one of our places of ancestral origin for Romiromi (workshop 5-7 July 2025)
