Kia ora

Wow we are nearly in March and time has just flown by.

Unfortunately over this week i was lifting and my back has been maemae and initiallh have had to take 3 days off. For the remaining week I have had to limit my appointments. Im 95% mended which i am so very grateful i can recover quickly.

This Monday 3rd of March I will be attending a kaupapa and will be closed for the day. All appointments will resume back to normal on Tuesday.

On Friday the 14th March till Monday 17th our roopu has been invited down to Plimmington to facilitate Romiromi Wananga with Wikitoria Maori Healing.
Aroha Touch will be closed over that period.

Have a brilliant weekend everyone thank you to all my kiritaki who were thoughtful and understanding of my time off this week.

We have a beautiful space in central Rotorua and have two rooms available for rent.

This space is open to anyone who thinks they would be a good fit.

$60 per day or $250 (incl GST) per week includes cleaning and internet. Power is included depending on type of business.

Room comes unfurnished but you are able to decorate it in your own style.

What a beautiful afternoon seeing manuhiri from Turtle Island.

Love the mahi and working with others.. Mexico and Portarico!

Frankie bought his partner over from SAN Diego and was eager to try Romiromi. Mikala is a doula and is currently working with hapū mama.

Frankie is a childrens/Youth lawyer advocate for youth who are in the USA corrections system. He has come to Aotearoa to see how our system works and supports rangatahi.

Happy New Year everyone.. welcome to 2025.

Wishing you all a prosperous, kind and joyful 2025.

Along with local clients I also get to work with people from all over the world and I am honoured when tourists book in and want to experience our culture and traditions of Traditional Maaori romiromi.

The relief kiritaki get to experience is profounding and their feed back is “Wow the weight lifted off”

Each person experiences are different but I wanted to shout out to Sibby from the UK and Douwenny from the Netherlands for coming in this week.

Aroha Touch will be closed Dec 23 24 25 26 to celebrate the holidays.
We have taken appointments for the 30th & 31st Dec and 2nd & 3rd Jan but all bookings have been taken.

Our week will commence on the 6th January with limited spaces available.

Rongoa has many dimensions the physical is just one of the many.

What is rongoā?
Rongoā is a traditional Māori healing system. It involves the use of native plant-based remedies (rongoā rākau), romiromi (mirimiri) and spiritual healing through prayer (karakia).

Rongoā is about wellbeing, the wellbeing of the person, the whenua, the soil, and the water flowing through the whenua.

Rongoā is a way of being healthy rather than just for healing. It aims to recreate balance and harmony within the spiritual, psychological, environmental, physical and family dimensions.
