Nona showed up with a truck - Zary is in his new house. Zary stayed at the house with Nona and ate pizza during the moving process.
We all had fun 🤬 working out how to take Zarys hospital bed apart - because the bed people never showed up for their appointment on Wednesday to show mum how to do it. (They also couldn't help move it on a weekend). The joys of disability services.
Nona said she'd hide Zary in the Redwoods so he couldn't leave town lol but he didnt like the idea - might be zombies.

You can tell those two are itching to get out of the cage and sit near Zary. The gray bird Iccharus starts mimicking a smoke alarm then bellows "watcha doing' and 'peekaboo'. Yarra goes to the corner to avoid the noise. He brasses her off something awful when he starts up.

Zary has a big change coming up - in 2 weeks the whanau are moving house. The wonderful part is mum found an accessible house so Zary will be able to be in the home with his family as there are no stairs.
The sad news she couldn't get a house here, she was searching from Rotorua to Wellington and was feeling very stressed, but after over 60 no's she finally got a yes from a kind landlord - in another town.
In 3 years Zary has never been able to be inside with the fam. Too many stairs. Too small doorways. No access. His room is the sunroom off the kitchen - everyone goes in and out, up and down stairs to him. In winter his heater is on 24/7.
Now he won't know himself.
I see raiding the fridge in his future 😁 and watching TV with his siblings.

One thing Zary loves doing is going out at night with mum and brother to roam and turn on his headlights. We often remind him that other kids might stare, but they then change to being in awe when they see what his chair can do.

Appointment with Zarys new Cardiologist today in adult services. He's very nice and treats another Duchenne warrior. New medication is needed for his heart. Zary wasn't impressed when the nurse hooked him up for an ECG then took his blood pressure.
The Dr said Zary needs to avoid public places where there could be sickness because of his heart, and avoid sick people, as it is detrimental to his health in a serious way.
So that excludes the supermarket, the mall, Kmart, the warehouse, unless its very early or late as Zary cannot wear a mask as it inhibits his breathing.
We need to get creative! because Zary loves 🛍 🛒 🛍 shopping!!! Mr shopaholic.
Then we went to Macdonalds for kai, and enjoyed a long walk in Ngongataha.
