Finally, no rain. Out for Sushi and the Redwoods. Zary took Kotiro with him. He brought himself a trumpet ice cream. Kotiro licked his empty sushi container and ate the wasabi 💣💥 - she took his trumpet off him and ate it real fast 😂

Miss Yarra marches around Zarys tray like she owns it. He went to eat his sandwich and realised there was a round hole - Miss Yarra helped herself. He picked up the remote to his stereo, Miss Yarra had chewed off all the buttons 🙄
She orders us out of the room 🫡 and got huffy today when Zary got a haircut and the tray was moved away from her bestie. She jumped onto the barbering cape, flew to Nona, then to the end of the bed, turned her back on Zary, and sulked.

Another room at 3mirage. They treated Zary like he was special and told him to take as long as he wanted. They wanted him to have a wonderful experience.
Because one room had glass tiles on the floor and wasn't wheelchair accessible, they stopped other visitors and put him right in the doorway for the full 7 minute experience.
Usually, generally, in public he moves around unseen, invisible in the worlds eyes, as all people with disabilities will understand.
Although he is finding there are wonderful people that will stop and smile and speak to him, acknowledging him.
He is shy. He is scared of people being mean, as he has faced unkindness. He hides his face from stares. He has worn his angry bird hat in public for over a decade, he feels safe with it on. Yesterday he pulled it off in the Mall 👏
We thought we'd just go in and ask if we could have this experience yesterday. 3mirage asked if we were locals. Yes. Zary was free, I think because of his disability, and I was $17.50. Instead of $49 each as adults.

Mum will be going on a much needed holiday soon to Cairns, Aussie for 2 weeks to stay with whanau there. Her last holida...

Mum will be going on a much needed holiday soon to Cairns, Aussie for 2 weeks to stay with whanau there. Her last holiday was 8 yrs ago.
She will enjoy hot tropical temperatures 26-30 degrees, but won't be swimming in the sea because of the crocs.
Nona will come to stay.
Zary is fairly settled because Mum always has a special camera sitting near him and no matter where she goes, she can see him on her phone, and speak to him through it.

Not so good when it's the middle of the night and hes supposed to be 😴 💤 and is secretly playing Xbox 👀

Then the lake, lastly the mall for fish and chips, and the Warehouse. Zary forgets Nona is walking everywhere 😆
