Waiotapu Forest Camp
Waiotapu Forest Camp is situated amidst the Kaiangaroa Forest of the Rainbow Mountain reserve. An adventure course with flying fox has been erected at the eastern end of the camp. Kerosene Creek is a popular thermal bathing stream situated a kilometer from the venue. There are also numerous tracks and lookouts, streams, lakes, thermal wonderlands and glow-worm sites. From Rotorua, turn off SH5 just south of Rainbow Mountain on to Old Waiotapu Highway. Travel 2.8km then turn into Waikokomuku Rd., which will lead to the camp. From Taupo the turnoff is 3km north of the Waiotapu Tavern. During the dry season the gate by Kerosene Creek may be locked and opened regularly until midnight. It is important to report to Registration Desk on arrival. Registration Desk will open at 4.30pm Friday. A light supper will be available at 7pm, a children’s movie starts 7.30pm and opening meeting is planned for 9pm. Accommodation
Twenty-four cabins ranging from single/twin to 6 bunk units are available on a first paid, first served basis. To avoid embarrassment it is important to report to the Registration Desk on arrival. What to bring

The camp has male and female showers and toilets, laundry and drying room. Meetings are held in the recreation hall.
