People see the surgery.
They don’t see the planning behind it.

Once we realised this journey could actually happen, the real work started behind the scenes.

Flights.
Mobility.
Transfers.
Surgeon appointments.
Pain management.
Accommodation.
Timing.

Getting someone safely across the world with spinal issues is not as simple as booking a ticket.

Every part of the journey had to be carefully planned to make sure our guys could physically manage the trip.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲.

Because getting someone safely here is just as important as the surgery itself.

We’ve been a little quiet lately, and truthfully, it’s because behind the scenes we’ve been focused on helping coordinate one of the most important journeys we’ve ever been part of here in Türkiye.

Over the coming days, we’re going to take you behind the scenes of what these journeys actually involve, not just the treatment itself, but the 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭, 𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐞 that go into getting someone to this point.

People often think travelling overseas for treatment is simply about aesthetics or cosmetic procedures. As our client Rach said recently, 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐓ü𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐲𝐞 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 “𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲”.

But sometimes it’s about mobility.

Gallipoli remains a place of deep remembrance, reflection, and connection.

We proudly pays respect to all veterans who fought for our freedom, and to those who continue to serve.

For me, this place holds profound ancestral significance through my great-grandfather Lieutenant Fred Milroy of the Otago Infantry Battalion, New Zealand Expeditionary Force, who served here during WWI. His legacy continues to guide this journey.

Bringing clients to experience Gallipoli and honour these stories is a privilege we hold with great respect.

As we make our way to ANZAC Day, we carry with us a deep sense of honour and responsibility, to remember our fallen soldiers, those who served before us, and those who continue to serve today. This journey is not just travel, it’s how we come to stand, reflect, and pay our respects.

A year ago, I was fortunate to host a group of absolute legends here. Many had travelled from New Zealand and Australia, coming together as whānau and friends.

Being part of this experience is deeply meaningful and a true privilege, something we never take lightly.

To my group, thank you, for the meals we shared, the memories we created, and the life changing moments we experienced together.

This year, we’re a smaller group, and like each year, we make our way to Gallipoli to pay our respects, honour our fallen, and ensure their stories continue to be shared.
