💙 Can-Do Spirit in Action 💙
A huge thank you to my beautiful VM and our incredible team who encouraged me to contact the local paper—and with success, our story is now out in the community raising awareness of prostate cancer. 🙌
The team also supported me and my family to organise the Blue Walk in Rotorua, bringing our community together for such an important cause. 💙
This is personal. Four years ago, my husband saw a Facebook post from a friend encouraging men to get checked—he had just finished his final round of chemo. My husband listened, went for a check, and even though he had no symptoms, we discovered he had advanced prostate cancer that had already spread to his bladder, spine, and hips.
He was fit, health conscious, didn’t smoke or drink, and exercised regularly. His diagnosis stopped us in our tracks and proved just how critical awareness and early detection are.
I’m so proud of our team for leading the way—supporting families, building awareness, and sharing a message that truly can save lives. 💙
