Today, Yapi Services acknowledges National Sorry Day, a significant day of reflection, healing, and recognition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families, and communities affected by the policies of forced child removal, now known as the Stolen Generations.
We stand alongside our communities in honouring the strength, resilience, and survival of First Nations peoples and acknowledge the pain and ongoing impacts that continue to be felt across generations.
National Sorry Day is a reminder of the importance of truth-telling, healing, connection to culture, and working together towards a future built on respect, understanding, and reconciliation.
At Yapi Services, we remain committed to creating safe, culturally respectful, and empowering spaces for our children, young people, families, and Elders.
Today, we encourage everyone to take a moment to listen, learn, reflect, and acknowledge the stories and experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
