** 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗 **

A 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 has been found in the carpark outside Bream Bay Medical Centre - possibly from a wheelchair or scooter. If you are missing this, or know who it belongs to, we have it at reception for you to collect!

We also have a set of BMW car keys that were left in the reception area. If these belong to you, please head to BBMC to collect.

We are unsure when it will be reinstated.

• Your safety is our priority. While the law allows longer prescriptions, we believe most patients need regular reviews to stay healthy.
• Health needs can change quickly.
• Regular check-ins prevent complications and ensure your treatment is right for you.
• We will only provide 12-month prescriptions for medicines where it is clinically safe.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:
• To protect you from risks associated with long gaps between reviews.
• To catch health changes early and adjust treatment as needed.
• To maintain high standards of care.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆:
• Not everyone qualifies
• If you need multiple medications or regular monitoring, blood tests, blood pressure checks, medicine adjustments you are unlikely to receive a 12 month script.
• Only a limited number of medicines are suitable for 12-month prescribing (e.g. some statins, thyroid medication, vitamin D supplements).
• Conditions like diabetes and other long term conditions, despite being mentioned publicly require ongoing review and dose changes.

Due to very high demand on our acute doctor triage service, we’d like to remind patients that if you request an acute triage phone call, you must be available to answer your phone.

If our clinical team attempts to call you and we are unable to make contact, a charge will apply for the triage appointment.

This service is extremely busy, and missed calls prevent us from helping other patients who are waiting for urgent care. If you request a call, please ensure:
