Hello beautiful ladies,
I hope your week has been as wonderful as you are. This Saturday, I'm off to Nelson to immerse myself in some holistic pulsing learning. Over the past few years, as I’ve pursued additional qualifications, I've come to realize that being a learner can be both challenging and uncomfortable. I've encountered plenty of these moments, each one a little hurdle on my journey of growth. Yet, it’s in these moments of discomfort that the true magic of creativity appears. It’s a beautiful thing to witness your own transformation and to overcome the challenges that come your way.
One significant takeaway from my experience of re-entering a learning environment is the importance of allowing myself to be a learner. At 43, with three grown kids and a lifetime of experiences behind me, it’s not always easy to shed the mindset of being "the one who knows." Accepting that you won't get everything right on your first try requires a shift in perspective. It demands time, effort, patience, and more energy than we often think we possess. Yet, from within this struggle emerge those exhilarating ‘aha’ moments when you realize, "Oh wow, I think I've got this!" Watching yourself grow and adapt is one of the most beautiful experiences life has to offer, and it teaches you to embrace the present moment of your learning journey.
To all of you out there, being your authentic selves and making meaningful changes in your lives—know that you are superheroes. You are the stars that your children, family, and friends look up to for inspiration. Just like a single drop of water creates ripples across a pond, your strength and resilience have a far-reaching impact on the community around you. Remember to take a moment to acknowledge the amazing job you are doing every single day.
Much love,
Trace
