How it all began.
Do you know the feeling when you smile or even better, laugh, but your hand is part of the action? The hand ofcourse hiding what you are afraid people may think of your teeth🤦♀️. Well, this was us! We started looking for options to make the hand disappear. Many trials, online purchases, miracle cures and all of that brought about little or no results. Then we discovered the Beyond II system! More about this below.
Well, that is the story behind our newly established NZTWA registered and certified teeth whitening salon in the heart of the Hibiscus Coast. The dream became a reality after 3 years of research, saving, training and the will to make it happen.

FAQ

Yes, The BEYOND award winning Power Whitening treatment is 100% safe. The BEYOND II Whitening accelerator uses an innovative LED technology and advanced light filtration system that removes all harmful heat exposure, ensuring your comfort and safety and reducing the risk of you experiencing sensitivity during or after the treatment.

The dental community has used these ingredients in performing teeth whitening for about 125-years and there is not one known case of enamel damage.
The active ingredients in the BEYOND TM Teeth Whitening Gel are effective and safe for cosmetic teeth whitening and will NOT cause enamel damage.
In fact, our new whitening gel has been clinically proven safer than drinking orange juice.
Will it hurt?
Most clients experience no pain or sensitivity during or after the treatment.
How long will the results last?
After the Cosmetic Teeth Whitening treatment, it is natural for the teeth to regress in their shading over time. For many, depending on diet, this takes 3- 6-months . This is natural and should be very gradual, but exposing the teeth to various staining agents can accelerate it.
The results of the treatment are not intended to be permanent and regular repeat or touch-up treatments may be needed to maintain the tooth shade. We recommend a 3-monthly touch up procedure to maintain whiteness at its best.
Contraindications of teeth whitening?
Cosmetic Whitening Gel is contraindicated for clients with known allergy or chemical sensitivity to peroxides or glycols.
Anyone who has had a scaling and polishing procedure within the past 14-days. Wait for at least 14-days.
Anyone who has Gingivitis or Periodontitis.
Persons 16 years or under – their teeth are often still erupting and developing; it is generally considered that if the enamel is less developed the risk of sensitivity may be increased.
Pregnant or breastfeeding persons - Science has not yet concluded whether or not cosmetic teeth whitening is safe for this group.
Possible side effects?
Tooth Sensitivity – During the first 24 hours following whitening, occasionally some patients experience transient sensitivity. This sensitivity is usually mild if your teeth are not normally sensitive. Rarely sensitivity can last for an extended period. We recommend over the counter pain medications or numbing gels. We will make recommendations during the treatment.
Gum Irritation – This is the result of a small amount of solution meeting the gums. This can cause temporary white spots and may cause some irritation when brushing. A burning sensation on your gums could also occur. This should resolve itself between a few hours to a few days. Very rarely some clients experience a burning sensation and/or swelling of the lips.
Effect on Fillings - Teeth whitening works on your natural teeth and won’t damage or affect your teeth restorations. We have found that surface stains on some artificial teeth may be improved or taken back to the original colour of when they were first fitted. You will still need to consider that there might be a difference between the colour of your restorations and colour of your natural now whiter teeth.
Dry/Chapped Lips- The treatment sometimes involve multiple treatment cycles, during which the mouth is kept open continuously for the entire treatment by a plastic re-tractor. This could result in dryness or chapping of the lips or cheek margins. During the treatment, we will apply lip balm to limit this.
Level of Whitening – There is no totally reliable way to predict how light your teeth will whiten. With cosmetic whitening, one treatment usually significantly whitens your teeth. Some patients require an additional treatment. There are no guarantees as to the degree of whitening of your teeth. The amount of whiteness varies with each individual depending on the colour of your dentin which is the bone of the tooth.
Relapse – Following completion of whitening, pigments found in food and drinks will re-stain your teeth, commonly called whitening relapse. You may use daily whitening toothpaste to help slow this process. We also have a small range of top quality products to enhance and maintain the results.
I thought teeth whitening had to be done by a Dentist?
With technological leaps in Cosmetic Teeth Whitening technology and new safer cosmetic whitening gels, the in-chair procedure has become a relatively simple COSMETIC procedure used solely to beautify and enhance appearance. IT IS NOT A MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENT. Our teeth Whitening Practitioners here at Rejuven8 have received the same training as the dentists who use this system.
