Welcome to 2026!! And a warm welcome from Naturally Nell’s our new followers.
January, you’re not disappointing, 3wks in already, what a blast, 2 moons already done and dusted, opening and closing doors to this #1 year, and with the fire horse fast approaching. Epic. 💥
The abundance of the mid-summer harvest are in full swing.
My plants are enjoying this rain(albeit sometimes it’s a bit much!)
The wind though has caused some havoc here. It makes for more resilient plants theough the next generation seeds. Always a silver lining.
This weather is proving a little difficult to navigate when to set course dates. We need dry to harvest herbs from the garden to make our potions. Hopefully autumn becomes more settled. My dandelion and mullein are at the perfect stages for us to learn from them, however no good when they’re rain sodden. Hows everyones gardens doing through these weather events?
I’ve had an opossum here having a bit of fun in the apothecary and while playing, had flattened half of my onion 🧅 patch. They were so close to being ready that 200 of them have been harvested and hanging to cure.
I’ve been tickling my potatoes for a few feeds. Yum 😋. They will get dug up at they end of January, so we’ll see then what the crop has produced for the months to come, and then i will plant a new crop for winter harvest.
And, bean season has begun. 😆
I have a garzillion spring onion seeds. I have just germinated some and they are all viable. If anyone is interested in some seeds or seedlings DM me.
I love how nature moves through the seasons providing abundance for us. ❤️🙏
Until next time,
Green blessings and abundance from,
The garden apothecary,
Nell
