Kia ora Rānui

My time at RAP is coming to an end. I have decided to take on a new work opportunity.

It has been my privilege to work as the Kaitakawaenga Community Broker with the amazing team at Rānui Action Project for the past four years.

I have loved being of service to Rānui and meeting people who live, work or provide services for Rānui residents.

I have enjoyed supporting local residents on their pathway to becoming fully licensed drivers, those who were looking for their first job or their next, the occasional emergency crisis and collaborating with the good people who serve this community.

If you are in the neighbourhood tomorrow, Thursday 27 January, 2pm - 3.30pm feel free to call in to get a free take away Mr Whippy ice cream.

Ngā mihi

We're getting lots of questions about whether Ranui Pharmacy can provide your "My Vaccine Pass".

Unfortunately we can't. Only pharmacies that are providing COVID-19 vaccines are set up to print a My Vaccine Pass.

The following pharmacies should be able to sort a My Vaccine Pass for you:

Lincoln Mall Pharmacy
- 192 Universal Drive Henderson (near KFC, Pak'nsave)

Unichem West City Pharmacy
- WESTCITY WAITAKERE, 7 Catherine Street, Henderson

Unichem Medicentre Pharmacy
- 131 Lincholn Road (near White Cross and McDonald's)

You do not need to have ID or an email address. You will be asked some personal details so you can be found in the pharmacy system.

If you can't get to a pharmacy, Rānui Action Project on the corner across the road from the community centre and library are also helping people to get their Vaccine Pass.

Kia ora community 👋

Auckland will move to Alert Level 3 tonight at 11.59pm. Ranui Pharmacy of course remains open, and we can offer NZ Post services - sending letters and parcels. Please note we are not offering passport photos until level 2.

Auckland will remain at Alert Level 3 for at least two weeks with a review of the decision on Monday 4 October. The reason for the move down alert level is because health officials are confident no widespread undetected transmission is occurring.

Alert Level 3 advice for Aucklanders includes sticking to bubbles, contactless transactions and keeping their distance from each other.

😷Wear a face covering when visiting the pharmacy continue to scan in with our QR code, or paper sign-in slip.

💉👩‍⚕️Visit www.bookmyvaccine.nz to book your vaccination appointment, if you haven't already. Some centers also accept walk ins

✨ Meet the team part 1! ✨

Kia ora,

This year we are planning to connect with the wonderful Rānui community more here on Facebook - starting with introducing our team!

Jemma has been a pharmacist at Rānui pharmacy for 1 year. She moved to Auckland from her home town Ōtepoti (Dunedin) after graduating.

Ben is our Intern Pharmacist, and joined the team in December last year. He is looking forward to being a pharmacist after his final assessment coming up in May.

Layla is our technician who joined the team after qualifying last year. Layla is from Vietnam and is looking forward to visiting home when COVID-19 travel restrictions allow!

Ursula is a pharmacist that has stayed on at Rānui Pharmacy since completing her internship here a few years ago.

Also on the team (not pictured) are Daniel (Owner/Pharmacist), Wendy (Pharmacist), and Pouyan (technician student completing his work placement).

Pop in and say hello! 👋
