Kia ora e te whānau,
It’s been a while since I shared here. Life has been unfolding in deep, sacred ways—growing, stretching, shifting. I’ve been working quietly, weaving new offerings, deepening into my wairua, and preparing to serve in an even more aligned way.

But now, I’m ready to come back to this space.
Ready to share. To teach. To tell the truth. To call you back into your own power.

You’ll be seeing more from me here—more kōrero, more wānanga, more Rongoā Māori wisdom for your everyday life.
I’m not here for surface. I’m here for soul.

You know the drill whānau! We are lucky to be continuing our awesome hauora kaupapa this year with another Hauora Day next Tuesday 25 Feb 2025 10AM-2PM!

🌱 Te Hiku Hauora nurse led clinic - free check ups for the whole whānau
🌱 Te Whare Hauora ō Tanguru - Ōtanguru Well-being Centre rongoā Māori & mirimiri
🌱 The Moko Foundation will be in the whare, having kōrero and sharing on a new pneumococcal and meningococcal kaupapa (poster in comments)
🌱 Kai and cuppa teas provided

We have Hauora Day at Parapara Marae next Tuesday 25 June 10AM-2PM, come along whānau mā!

As always, we have our amazing Te Hiku Hauora nurses ready and available to get all your hauora checks done e.g. blood pressure checks, wāhine mā 25+ cervical screening self test, any health concerns checked from pēpi through to kuia/kaumātua. No need to be signed up to a GP, no cost 👩‍⚕️

Our whānau at Te Whare Hauora ō Tanguru - Ōtanguru Well-being Centre will be there to mirimiri/romiromi, and we will have a hot kai ready in the wharekai at lunchtime 🥰

As a Rongōa Māori provider, the Kawakawa plant is my treasured ally in the realm of healing and well-being.
In the heart 💚 of our Whenua, its vibrant leaves cradle precious berries that carry the spirit of resilience and vitality.
Infused with a spicy symphony, these berries transcend mere flavors, embodying the essence of life’s intricate dance.

Generations of wisdom guide me in harnessing their medicinal power, addressing ailments with the wisdom passed down through the ages so that it may be handed down and never lost.

This whakatauki echoes in my heart: “He kawakawa koe, e kore e whawhai tonu” - “You are like Kawakawa, you will never be conquered” - a testament to the unyielding strength we draw from this sacred plant.

In the hands & placed on the body, Kawakawa becomes a healing song, echoing the resilience and healing spirit of our people and our connection to IO the divine creator of all that is, all that was and all the ever will be 💚 - Ramari A B💚

E kui mā, e koro mā, māmā, pāpā mā, pēpi, tamariki, rangatahi mā - nau mai hoki mai ki te rā hauora tuatahi kei Parapara mō 2024 🌿

We have our first Hauora Day of the year happening at Parapara Marae next Tuesday 27 Feb from 10am - 2pm.

This is a free kaupapa for all, no GP registration or appointment needed. Come down and have a kōrero with our lovely Te Hiku nurses, get a check up, have some romiromi, mirimiri or rongoā with Ramari and TinaLee. Snacks, water and cuppa teas provided, look forward to catching up then, e te whānau ☕️🍉🍓
