Roadtrip!

I had an 80 year old client whom was gifted a massage from his wife for his birthday today. At this age he is still rock climbing cycling on and off road, wing foiling and is going to Norway in a month to do some climbing!!! 💫 He’d never had a massage before, and listed all the areas that were troubling him. I looked at the clock and thought “I’ve got this” 🤣 He walked out of here like a little kid with a skateboard and a huge smile on his face! This is why I love my life and do what I do. HE’S 80, but says he feels 50! That is what it’s all about - Keeping the mind young keeps the body young 💫🥳

I was going to save this for a Friday Funny, but here it is: Tales from the Massage rooms!
So to date, the funniest moment when getting my own treatment was being draped like a baby and both legs being worked on at the same time (by one person) 🤔🤦‍♀️🤣
Yesterday’s experience came out on top!
I went for a massage yesterday at my usual place. My eyes were open whilst the therapist talked to me about her NZ travels.
There was an object in the face cradle I hadn’t quite focussed on properly thinking it may have been an oriental ornament. Then I focussed more, and it moved! It was a daddy long legs spider just chilling in the warmth of my breath!
I calmly moved my head to the side, took a deep breath and told the therapist. She frantically proceeded to remove the poor thing then continued massaging and said “at least we’re not in Australia” 🤣🤣🤣

Perception vs Perspective

Everyone you know is fighting an invisible battle. So therefore, perception is highly individual and not a reflection of whom you truelly are as a person.

When you come in for a massage, it is completely fine to be your authentic self, and then leave completely at peace with whom you have become through all of life’s battles 💫

A male hairdresser came into O-Studio Takapuna with left shoulder pain after a surf sesh (Goofy footed). The whole left side was unbalanced and taking his career into consideration, leaning on his left hip at work, I worked to release his hip flexors, totator cuff and arm extensors and activate upper trapezius bilaterally. Also, very high stress, worked to balance his nervous system.
