The GOAT 2026...started in the Whakapapa
sunshine, finished 19 1/2km and almost 4 hours later in the Turoa cloud.

My 4th Goat, my second fastest time...at first I was disappointed not to better last year's time, but the beauty of the Goat is the ever changing conditions, and this year the epic climbs, rock scrambling and river crossings were accompanied by lots of MUD, slightly less running, a lot more slipping and sliding.

I love this event, so good being right out amongst it on one of NZ's most challenging trail running events, with a super cool group of friends who come together every year in Ohakune to share in the pain and eat eclairs 😀 tomorrow I might even be able to walk downstairs again without holding on to rails!

Thanks for the huge amount of work that goes into running this awesome event. See you next year!! (Although somehow my trail running shoes got left behind in the Turoa carpark 😆 )

And just like that it's nearly CHRISTMAS!!!

This year we will be closed for Christmas Eve, open again December 29-31.

Then it's off for some biking adventures New Years Day, back to work again Jan 5th.

Today's run spam....with the best finish line handout ever at Tois Challenge in Whakatane!

Hills, steps, hills, beach and more steps and hills... it was tough!! Strawberries and ice-cream were well deserved!!

Good to see some Taupo locals also having a great day out on the running trails. A beautiful day to be out and about!

And just like that it's back to work!!

But first, the highlights...3 weeks, 3 countries and 2 bucketlist tick offs. Machu Picchu and the Death Road, epic!!

I've been lucky enough to visit, live and work in a lot of countries, travel is always an eye opener, and makes me appreciate NZ so much every time...mostly being able to turn on my tap and have a drink of water anytime I like. So easy to take the smallest things for granted.

Always happy to share my stories in the clinic 😁 A couple of spots left this week...happy sunny Sunday!

When you realise you're exactly 1 month away from jetting off on a bucket list adventure. ..I was trying to play it cool and be like oh yeah a holiday, but no chance 😆😆
