What a great first day at the Taupō Home & Garden Shows 😊
It’s been so nice meeting everyone and having some great chats about hearing health.

We were also joined by Dinuvi, who’ll be joining our team as an audiologist in June. We’re really looking forward to having her on board. She was already getting involved, helping with ear checks and meeting some of our younger visitors 👂

Your ears play a bigger role in balance than most people realise 👂

With NASA’s Artemis programme in the spotlight, astronauts can feel dizzy in space because the inner ear relies on gravity to keep us steady.

Here on Earth, this system is just as important. During Falls Awareness Month, it’s a good reminder that your ears play a key role in helping you stay steady and reducing the risk of falls.

If you’ve noticed dizziness or changes in balance, it might be worth having your ears checked.

Meet Mel 👋

After nine years with Laura Arnold Audiology, Mel is excited to be completing her training as an Audiometrist and continuing to support the hearing health of our community.

A proud Taupō local for the past 30 years, when she isn’t in the clinic, you’ll often find her out on our beautiful lake fishing or heading up the coast chasing big game species like marlin and bluefin.

Mel looks forward to meeting more of our community and helping you hear your world more clearly👂

It was so nice meeting everyone and seeing all the fun for such a great cause. Thanks to everyone who came along to support – together we helped raise over $6,000 for the Cancer Society Waikato/Bay of Plenty!

We’re proud to be supporting the Taupō Longest Day Golf Tournament on Sunday 30 November, helping raise funds for people affected by cancer in our region.

It’s going to be a great day – play from sunrise to sunset, or just come along to cheer everyone on! We’ll be there too, happy to chat about hearing health and answer any ear-related questions you’ve been itching to ask.
