✨ We’re Hiring – Rongoā Māori Practitioner ✨

Ngatahi is looking for another experienced Rongoā Māori Practitioner to join our team in Mount Maunganui. This is a contractor role (10 hours across 2 days per week), working alongside a supportive team to provide high-quality, culturally grounded care.

We’re seeking someone with:
🌿 First Aid + Public Liability & Indemnity Insurance
🌿 At least 100 supervised hours under a senior Rongoā Māori practitioner (with references)
🌿 Level 4 Tikanga Māori qualification
🌿 Level 5 Diploma in Rongoā Māori (or working towards completion)
🌿 Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to bodywork and healing
🌿 6+ months’ clinical experience

I have this clear memory of you in the red pedal car, doing laps around the garage. Your parents’ van, “The Barbarian,” parked in the driveway I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Years later, Aunty let someone take it for a test drive… and it never came back. Still one of the best stories.

I’ve seen you through many seasons since you were a baby and just like that, I’ve watched you become a father.

After this experience of Mauri Tau, you said to me, “We were born to do this work,” and I felt that.

Thank you for hearing me. Thank you for bringing the sound into te ao mārama.
Thank you for the journey te kore, te pō, te ao, te mārama. Most of all thank you for weaving Mihiroa into the soundscape I felt completely held.

Be transported back to the beginning.
Join us on July 6th at Te Pou Theatre, Corban Estate, Auckland, for a potent two-hour journey of breath, sound, Te rau aroha alignment and Spinal Energetics.

We'll move through timelines back to the nothingnessTe Kore.
Weaving the sounds of the land, the voices of the people, and the frequency of medicine, we'll journey into the world of light.
In days gone by, our tupuna used language as a means of transportation to higher or lower realms.
Our words carry universal codes.
There are sounds and vibrations unique to this land and its people and when spoken, they vibrate through your entirety.
This is a collaborative experience a collective return to essence.
We are rewinding to the start
Unwinding. Unravelling. Letting go of old narratives stored in the body.
Expanding our vessels to make way for what's new.

Professional treatment room for hire, situated at 32 Second Avenue Tauranga.

The clinic boasts ample parking for clients, including a reserved area behind the building. The treatment space features climate control, a cozy staff kitchen, and private restrooms. This opportunity invites an established clinician to join our multidisciplinary team, which includes a range of complementary health professionals.

The room is available from Wednesday to Friday, from March to November, with flexible arrangements possible. The rate is $140 (+GST) for a full day's exclusive use, with a three-month minimum contract, payable monthly in advance.

Amenities include:

A well-equipped treatment room with a desk, chairs, and a couch.
A tranquil waiting area with complimentary water and tea.
Wireless internet access.
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Cleaning services.
Toilet facilities.
Clinicians are required to provide their own laptop, linens, and any consumables needed for treatments.

Not provided are clinic phone services, a practice management system, and subleasing arrangements.

Either I post once a year or I post five times in one day. I’m consistent at least. It’s a pattern. Every year I say I’m going to be better at social media and we’ll there are always other things that require my focus.

To all the people who have emailed about workshops bear with me while I find out what that looks like time wise dates etc.
I will keep you up to date with the different workshops I’m facilitating at just in case you want to join.

Kia Ora,
From the 22nd of November we will be shifting into a new office space in the lakes. This move means we will have appointments available until early evening.

Over the summer holidays we will work only here, every Tuesday and in the new year potentially Thursday’s as well.

We will not be taking bookings for the month of December for the mount studio. And will revisit days and times in the new year.

Pretty excited for this move. Onwards and upwards.

13th November foundational mirimiri/bodywork.
This workshop you will be learning foundations in traditional bodywork and how it is used to shift, recalibrate, and align.
This is a medium that is used in my mahi as a tool of transformation. Like Rongoa rakau bodywork does not need any help from other modalities. It is a whole universal healing system all on its own.
Looking forward to sharing space.
