So Ive had a bit of a name change, what do we think??๐
What is Musculoskeletal massage you ask?
Musculoskeletal Therapy primarily focuses on joints, fascia and nervous system (rather than deep work into muscles). When applied masterfully, it is an incredibly effective form of therapy on its own, as well as being very complimentary to deep tissue/ sports massage therapy.
Our Musculoskeletal therapy consists of three primary skill sets; "mobilisation" to test and improve joint articulation, "myofascial release" to improve fascial function, and "neuromuscular facilitation" to ease muscle tension.
Suitable for people of all ages and lifestyles wanting to take the best care of their body (athletes, non-athletes, chronic pain, chronic injury, training recovery, aches, pains, tension, postural rehab, sporting event prep, recent injury recovery, surgery, stroke, scoliosis).
It can help improve postural alignment, increase flexibility and joint range of motion, release soft tissue tension and any nerve related symptoms, eliminate myofascial trigger points and any referred pain symptoms, release muscle spasms and promote good biomechanics.
โTechniques can include:
Postural Analysis, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial release, Strengthening, Stretching
