Botox should never look like “Botox”.

At SkinCentre, treatment is about balance and intention. Some people want a soft refresh. Others prefer smoother lines with minimal movement. The right outcome depends on your facial anatomy, muscle pattern, dose and injector expertise.

When results feel frozen, it’s usually not the treatment itself. It’s the approach.

A personalised consultation ensures your result still looks like you, just more rested and refined.

Stop waiting for your skin to "get worse" before seeking help.

A common myth is that Rosacea is a linear journey from a little redness to permanent skin changes. In reality, it’s much more complex. It consists of three distinct entities, Redness, Bumps, and Thickening, that can overlap or act completely independently.

Whether you've dealt with frequent flushing since your 20s or are seeing sudden inflammatory bumps, a dermatologist-led diagnosis is the only way to get the right treatment.

At SkinCentre, we don't do "one size fits all." We treat the specific entity of rosacea you are experiencing right now.

Medical or cosmetic? Here’s how to tell.

If a skin concern affects your health, comfort, function or could worsen over time, it’s medical. If it’s about appearance alone, without symptoms or risk, it’s cosmetic.

The line isn’t always obvious. Many concerns sit somewhere in between, which is why assessment matters.

When in doubt, start with a professional opinion. Getting clarity early can save time, stress and unnecessary treatment later.

Post-holiday skin often tells a story.

Sun exposure, heat, sweat, salt water, chlorine, late nights and changes in routine can leave skin feeling dry, irritated or inflamed long after the break is over.

This is a good time to:
– Simplify your routine
– Focus on barrier repair and hydration
– Avoid introducing strong new actives
– Get persistent redness, breakouts or sensitivity checked rather than pushing through it

Skin usually settles best when it’s supported, not stripped.

If something doesn’t feel right weeks after the holidays, it’s worth getting advice.

Summer is for getting outside, not dealing with skin damage later on.

A few consistent habits can make a real difference to your skin’s long-term health, especially in NZ’s high UV environment.

From using sunscreen properly to knowing when to get a spot checked, small actions now help reduce risk down the track.
