About Maria...

I worked as a professional dancer and choreographer in Wellington for over 25 years. With the demands on the body of being a dancer I frequently experienced injury particularly to my spine and ankle.

Through a process of exploring healing options I discovered that the healing modalities of Reconnective Healing, Reiki and Intuitive Healing gave me the most effective injury relief and enabled rest in a deeply rejuvenating and peaceful state.

I was lucky enough to find some incredible practitioners who passed on their knowledge to me.

In 2014 I was diagnosed with leukaemia, my cancer journey has been both deeply challenging and a gift. I really had to learn to be with myself as with cancer there is nowhere to run or hide. I discovered a deeper sense of self acceptance that I believe is part of the healing process.

I found healing through the support of family, friends and practitioners, through connecting with plants and animals and through being gentle with the body and being.

I believe that gentleness is a quality that is needed in the world today.

I offer a combination of Relaxation Massage, Reiki and Reconnective Healing. By providing an experience of return to a bliss or theta state where the brain and body relax and deeply heal.

The benefits are deep relaxation, faster injury healing, better sleep and decrease in stress.
