Take time to nourish yourself as you nourish the new life growing inside you. Join a welcoming group of expecting Mamas for a nourishing afternoon of ceremonial cacao, pregnancy Pilates and Yin Yoga, meditation, reflection and soulful connection.

Suitable for all stages of pregnancy right up to birth, no experience required. Be reassured that as a qualified and experienced prenatal Pilates instructor, and a pregnant Mama myself, you will be well cared for.

This is likely to be my final one until I return from maternity leave mid next year so make sure to book yourself and your bump in!

THE FOURTH TRIMESTER WORKSHOP

Giving birth is the greatest physical event a woman’s body will experience and our own recovery is often overlooked as we pour our attention into creating a birth plan and then working out how to care for a newborn. Navigating newborn life can be made more easeful with a little bit of preparation and a postpartum plan. This practical workshop will draw on the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda as well as modern research to guide you on how to support yourself through the fourth trimester - those intense first few months after birth. Discover:

❤️ How to give your body the right nutrition and environment to heal post-birth, supporting the physical and hormonal changes from pregnancy to birth to breastfeeding and recovery
💜 How to cultivate a nurturing support network to provide the support you actually need and want, including holistic care providers, family, friends, partners and community.
💛 Create your own postpartum sanctuary plan, including your new mama self-care guide
💚 How to support the physical and emotional transition into motherhood
🧡 Safe return to movement and pelvic floor rehabilitation

Let me guide you on how to set yourself up for a nourishing fourth trimester so you can focus on recovery and connection with your babe after birth. I often find that menstrual/winter phase meals do not look very attractive but they certainly are tasty! This Monday night hormone nourishing dish came together in just 30 minutes, even with “help” from my 3yo sous chef 😂

A simple meal of roasted kumara, pan fried organic brisket patties, and mushrooms, garlic and kale cooked in the brisket patty juices. A sprinkle of kelp powder and a squeeze of lemon made this simple meal incredibly nourishing for the winter phase. Now as you know I am pregnant so I’m not in my menstrual phase but today is a new moon which brings the energy of the winter/menstrual phase and I love to continue to honour my cyclical feminine nature through the moon cycle 🌙

How do you connect to your inner spring? With curiosity and creativity? Tapping into the feeling of awakening, new beginnings and fresh ideas?

Each month you have the opportunity to start fresh, to support your body, hormones and mind. It’s a wonderful gift from nature.

As you gain a deeper understanding of your menstrual cycle, you can begin to live “in flow” and coordinate your movement, food and lifestyle practices to best nourish your body, mind and energy. Weaving the rhythms of your days around the phase of the cycle you are experiencing will help your days move with more ease and give you greater compassion and understanding on how and why your physical, emotional and mental body’s are behaving or reacting the way they are.
 
For example, living in flow with your cycle will guide you to the best phases to schedule your work, whether this be creating, planning, doing, reflecting. Often knowing that you have a more creative phase coming just around the corner can help you to schedule your more creative tasks or projects during this time instead of getting frustrated about why your creative juices just are not flowing right now. Same with finding that laser focus to knock off that to do list or finding the inner space and awareness to reflect on the outcomes or future desires of a project or goal.

This workshop will guide you how to support your hormones and create abundant energy by syncing your movement and food with your menstrual cycle. We will explore how to simply focus your exercise and food in each of the four phases of your cycle to boost energy, improve sleep, regulate moods, boost immunity, alleviate PMS, reduce bloating, lose weight and build strength.
