Hello kind humans, my name is Pika!💛

I’m a sweet, gentle girl with a sensitive nature and I’m looking for a very special kind of home… one that feels safe, calm and predictable. I’ve been living in a loving home, but the environment has become a bit too overwhelming for me. With flatmates and another dog around, I’ve found it hard to fully relax. 🥹

What I truly need is a quiet, low-stimulation home… ideally with just one person or a very calm household where I can feel secure and form a strong bond. I’m the kind of dog who loves deeply and attaches closely to my human. 🔒

I had a rough start to life which makes me a bit sensitive, so I need someone who understands that patience, kindness and stability will help me truly shine. In the right environment, I am incredibly loving and loyal.

✨ A few things about me:

* I love doggy daycare and do great in that environment during the day
* At home, I prefer peace and quiet… my safe sanctuary
* I’m small (13kg), gentle and very affectionate
* I enjoy routine and reassurance

My current mum has made the thoughtful decision to wait until I’m fully grown before desexing me so I’ll be having that done on May 18th. I’ll need to stay in Cambridge until then, but it would be amazing if I could head straight into my new, calm home afterward to recover peacefully. 🧘🏽‍♂️✨

This decision hasn’t been made lightly as I’m very very loved, my mum just wants the best possible life for me. 😭

Gus is a beautiful, placid boy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He’s a real homebody who thrives on companionship as he enjoys being close to his humans. Whether it’s relaxing at home with his person or greeting visitors, Gus is always happiest when he’s included in the conversation. 😊

He has been raised around babies and young children and absolutely adores them as he loves attention and will happily soak up all the pats and cuddles he can get. Gus has a gentle, affectionate nature and forms strong bonds with his people. 🔒

He’s good on a harness and leash, listens well to commands and has lived with another dog previously (a fox terrier), so he is familiar with canine companionship. He may be able to live with cats with the right training and guidance.

Gus will bark to alert you of visitors, making him a great little watchdog, but overall he is calm and easygoing. He can experience some anxiety at times, so he will do best in a home where he can receive reassurance, patience and love. He does not want to be left home alone all day. He needs someone who is also a homebody. 🥹

Gus is coming from a much-loved home where his owners are sadly needing to rehome him due to health challenges and downsizing. This is a very difficult decision and they are hoping to find Gus a kind, stable home where he will continue to be cherished. ❤️‍🩹
