🌟 Meet Caroline – Our Cheerful iCare Assistant! 🌟
We’re SO excited to introduce you to Caroline, a wonderful part of our iCare team at Arataki! 🎉
Caroline is 26 years old, autistic, and has an intellectual disability. She absolutely LOVES helping out—whether it’s setting up for afternoon tea, getting involved in activities, or engaging with the children. 💛
Sometimes, Caroline might say things in a way that feels a little unexpected—that’s just because autism can make it tricky to express things the way others might expect. She also speaks in a louder tone, which can sometimes sound like yelling, but don’t worry! She’s not upset—it’s just her way of showing excitement. The children at our programme already know this and love how enthusiastic she is to see them! 😊
Caroline’s biggest goal is to learn more about child education and care and to be as helpful as possible. If something doesn’t sit quite right with you, a gentle reminder—like saying, “That loud tone made me feel a little sad”—will help her understand, and she’ll do her best to be more mindful. 💕
