Today’s kupu (word) is “Taiao” – which means “environment” or “natural world.”

It’s a great reminder to embrace and appreciate the beauty around us! Speaking of embracing nature, I was out enjoying the Taiao in my trusty gumboots. Nothing beats a walk through the bush with the rain gently falling and the sound of nature all around.

We are stoked to be invited to sponsor Taranaki’s Coastal Five event for the fourth year running. 🏔️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃

This is a deeply important event for the region and Habit Health, as it promotes a community event in which everyone can participate and fosters a lifelong love for the simple movement of walking and running.

We will be supporting the event with a physiotherapy tent and two of our local physiotherapists on hand to assess, patch and strap up any injuries that might occur on the event days, as well as give guidance on pre-race proper warm-up techniques and answer any general questions. 👍

After the event, participants will also receive a complimentary initial ACC physio assessment.

Team Habit Health at the HST Allied Health Job Fair!

This Saturday, team Habit Health was present at Health Sector Talent’s large allied healthcare job fair at The Pullman Hotel in Auckland where thousands – yes, it certainly seems that way! – candidates turned up for a chat with our recruitment team and clinical staff.

This was a wonderful opportunity to connect with talent both at home and from overseas who are hoping to find their next role. We spoke to many nursing professionals in particular about what their goals were and where they were hoping to land.

We also connected with some terrific Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy new grads who were excited to hear about our stellar graduate programme and how we can help them really launch their careers.

What a weekend! Last Saturday’s rugby league game was a blast, and we had an awesome time cheering on the teams. A big shoutout to everyone for the epic matches and to all the players for their incredible efforts on the field!

We had a fantastic time at "The Future of Health & Safety Conference" in Christchurch! The conference was packed with insightful presentations and discussions, with a particular highlight being the inspiring talk on mental health by Sir John Kerwin.
