I just deleted a long post discussing this docu. It sure is getting a lot of attention at the moment. I've received several text messages and had a few discussions about it just in the past week. No matter what I think about the underlying message, I think anything that raises awareness to health and diet is good right?! Have you seen it? What did you think?

FYI, in case this was a part of your 2024 plans.

πŸŽ‰ Grateful for an amazing year with incredible clients – past, present, and future! πŸ™Œ Your inspiration fuels my passion. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas filled with good food, drinks, and joy. Remember to savor the moments, make conscious choices, and indulge guilt-free. Cheers to bubbles, pavlova, and the promise of a new amazing year ahead of us! πŸŽ„πŸ’–

Scandi will be closed until the 8th of January, and I will attempt to go off social media during this time (yes we all have our addictions!πŸ˜†)

I'm super excited to kick off the new year with detox courses (yes, if you missed the January one, we will rum another in February), another beautiful wellness retreat in March & hoping to bring you another Peri-menopause event in autumn. I'm also introducing one-off health checks, which will involve biometric testing (glucose, blood pressure, measurements & fitness tests). This works perfectly in combination with one of my courses or health coaching packages. πŸ€—

Lots of love from Sofie 🌟

Organic = $$$ right?! Yes, in many cases it does cost a bit more, and who needs more outgoings on food right now?🫣 this is why this list can help you to make informed choices and not having to spend heaps of money on buying organic if it's not necessary.

πŸ… Dirty Dozen: These are fruits and vegetables with higher pesticide residues, so consider buying organic when possible. Examples include strawberries, spinach, and pears.

πŸ₯¦ Clean 15: These have lower pesticide residues, making conventional options safer. Avocados, sweet corn, and pineapples are some examples.

Just a note though, meat is probably the most important food to buy organic, before you even consider fruit & veges, as non organic meat can contain up to 20 times more pesticides than veges...

The festive season can be challenging when it comes to resisting temptations, especially with the abundance of delicious food and social events. Here are five tips to help you navigate and survive temptation during this time:

01. Plan Ahead
Plan your meals and snacks in advance, especially before attending gatherings or parties. If you know there will be tempting treats, eat a healthy and satisfying meal before going, so you're less likely to overindulge. Additionally, consider bringing a healthy dish to share, ensuring there's an option that aligns with your goals.

02. Stay Active
Incorporate physical activity into your festive routine. Whether it's going for a walk, hitting the gym, or engaging in active holiday traditions, staying active can help balance the extra calories consumed during celebrations. Exercise also helps manage stress, which can contribute to overeating.

03. Make Rules
It's in our human nature to fall for temptation, but we naturally obey to rules. Sit down and write down the rules you want to follow these holidays. For example:
I will not order dessert when I'm out.
I will always drive to any events, so I'm forced to limit my alcohol intake.
I will always take the stairs instead of the lift, wherever possible. etc.

04. Allow Yourself
Allow yourself to enjoy the festive treats in moderation. Depriving yourself completely may lead to feelings of deprivation and increase the likelihood of overindulging later. Choose smaller portions, savor the flavors, and be mindful of your overall intake without completely restricting yourself from enjoying the festivities.

05. It's OK to say 'no'
While saying "no" can sometimes be challenging, especially if you are a people-pleaser or fear disappointing others, it is a crucial skill for maintaining a healthy and balanced life. Learning to say "no" when needed allows you to focus on what truly matters and contributes to your overall well-being. After all, Christmas is about spending time with your loved ones - make that a priority.
