Such an inspiration to the world 💕
A month before her passing in 2017, Louise L. Hay wrote something that still resonates deeply:
“I’ll be turning 90 this Saturday. My younger years were filled with fear, but now my days are filled with trust and confidence.
My life didn’t really start to make sense until my mid-40s. At 50, I began writing—on a very small scale. My first year, I earned just \$42. At 55, I ventured into the world of computers, which terrified me, but I took classes and overcame my fears. Today, I own three computers and travel everywhere with my iPad and iPhone. At 60, I planted my first garden. Around that time, I joined kids’ art classes and started painting. In my 70s and 80s, I became even more creative, and my life just kept getting richer and more fulfilling.
I still write, give talks, and teach by example. I’m always reading, learning, and growing. I run a successful publishing company and two nonprofits. I’m an avid organic gardener and grow most of my own food. I love people and parties, have many loving friends, and have traveled the world. I still paint and take classes. My life has become a treasure trove of experiences.
I want to encourage you to consciously shape your later years and realize that they can be the most rewarding chapter of your life. Your future is always bright, no matter your age. Let these years become your treasure years.”
With love,
Louise Hay

Mine began with the desire to feel whole, to learn about mind, body connection.
I accidentally fell into massage therapy if I'm honest. My first interest was in healing herbs, Yoga practices and wellbeing. I intially enrolled in Naturopathy. As I began my course, it seemed too general, not quite filling my basket. So I changed my course to Ayurvedic Medicine. Wow! life changing, specific and I related to it. I also trained in Yoga, which is the sister science to Ayurveda. They both go together perfectly, as healing modalities.
As I progressed through the course, Massage was introduced. I fell in love with the feeling of massage. I hadn't even experienced one until my course. I felt like a natural at it and had amazing feedback, which really boosted my confidence.
After finishing the course I travelled over to Europe with this amazing source of information under my belt. I practiced Yoga and ended up doing a lot of massage. I soon realised there was so much more to learn about the body, so I returned to New Zealand to enrol in a Massage Therapy Diploma.
During this course I learnt a lot about the human body, the emotions, the physical and the spiritual. The course was very scientific but also practical and holistic all in one.
Twenty years on I still love the feeling of giving and recieving massage as a part of a balanced living life.
The combo of Massage & Yoga with Ayurvedic medicine as a healing platform continues to inspire me.
I feel honoured that this path chose me, and love meeting and helping people from all walks of life.
