We're partnering again with Elliotts Funeral Services to bring you our next grief support group: Self-care, Self-compassion and Self-talk through Grief.

It can be so hard to give yourself the same care, compassion and kindness that you give others, especially when you're grieving. But that's when you need it the most, and we would love to help you with strategies and ideas on how to do that.

We'd love to see you next Wednesday on the 15th of October at 5:30pm at our office at 147 Greerton Road (upstairs, next to Pizza Hut) if this sounds like something you need. Please make sure you RSVP to Elliotts at staff@elliottsfunerals.co.nz or (07) 578 3338 by Tuesday the 14th of October.

Our next Support Group session will be held at Grief Support Services in Greerton on Wednesday 15th October. Register soon to secure your spot with the dedicated and wonderful team from Grief Support Services Tauranga.

We have many different attendees at our services but this was the first time we had a baby lamb. This little fellow was 10 days old and his amazing carers were bottle feeding him every two hours. It is fair to say he spent the majority of the time being cuddled by our staff who were reluctant to hand him back to the lovely couple who adopted him. đź’ť

We are thrilled to announce that Iki Tauleletoa has successfully completed his exams and is now a fully Qualified Embalmer. This is a significant achievement, and after endless hours of study, many assessments, continuous log book entries and mock exams we couldn't be prouder. We extend our warmest congratulations to Iki for his incredible hard work, dedication, and unwavering determination. This qualification is very well-deserved for someone who is so committed to providing exceptional care and attention to the families we serve. Well done, we are privileged to have you as an integral member of our team.

Understanding Funerals.

Elliotts Funeral Services will be holding a free public information evening on the value and significance of a funeral service. If you have questions about funeral costs or services, we will provide the answers, along with information on:
* The role of the funeral director.
* What funeral costs include.
* Why funerals matter and how they help us grieve.
* Common misconceptions of funeral service providers.
* How funeral homes can support families and their decisions on caring for a loved one after death.

This is a chance to gather the information you need in a supportive environment, followed by light refreshments.
We believe understanding the process is vital, and we are here to help.
Date and time to be confirmed, so keep an eye on our page or email staff@elliottsfunerals.co.nz for more information or to register your interest.

Now that you know what support we can provide, here are some of the reasons on why providing support to those grieving is so important, not just on a personal level but on a community level as well.

Over the rest of August, we'll elaborate on these points, but we are here for you now if you are in need of support through your grief journey.
