**** 27-03-2026 - STORE CLOSURE******

Due to the road closures and flooding today we have decided to close our store early for safety precautions and to allow our staff to return home safely.

Bobs Gas and Cylinder Services Tauranga is one of the longest established test stations in the country. Our test mark has been around since the mid 70's passing though several owners and company name iterations.

We are an IANZ accredited test site with a long history, that you can absolutely trust with your life.

We test large numbers of SCBA and SCUBA cylinders every year, all year long. Trusted by emergency services, private and commercial divers, and industry day in and day out.

We have a large site with plenty of parking and our drive through layout even accommodates boats. So stop in on the way to or from the water and don't battle traffic or poor parking to get your dive cylinders tested and or filled.

Summer is coming ...
Given recent weather it would be easy to wonder if it really was going to happen!

Before we know it we will be packing for time away with friends and family. As kiwis this will often mean time on or under the water.

Don't forget to get your dive cylinders sorted .. before the last minute rush.

Now is the time to drop them in for a visual or hydro so you can be sure they are safe and able to be filled.

To help with the planning we have a special offer. Drop your cylinder in before 5pm on 30 November and not only will you get our awesome service for a competitive price but we will also throw in a free fill.

Can you help?
We have a great fundraising opportunity in our community and need people to be a part of the team. Companions, campers’ family members, past volunteers – anyone in our CQ community who wants to support us.
We need 25 volunteers to help out at the Zuru Nightglow (Balloons Over Waikato). Older teenagers can help too with accompanying adults. Volunteers must be comfortable dealing with the public.

Saturday 22nd March

We are Hiring!

Bobs Gas is looking for an accounts guru, someone who has an amazing ability to get the detail right, while smiling and having fun.

We use Xero, with Light Speed over the top, Deputy to the side and Woo Delivery around the edges.

We need someone who can keep on top of the Lightspeed/Xero world, accounts recs, customer balances, and basic accounting needs. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable will also be in your basket. All the weird and wonderful magic that needs to happen in the background to make the team look awesome out front. ;-)

If you have some years of Xero experience, perhaps in an accounting firm, or as a senior book keeper type role, and you have a passion for people and numbers and getting it right, then we need you.
(N.B. this is definitely not a Xero beginners role)

Hours could be a bit flexible, school hours would work. Some travel between our sites to learn how we operate and help the team with training, but mostly based from our Oropi Road, Tauranga site.

You will be working with the owner, our accountant, and across the Bobs Gas team.

This is a new position, available for an immediate start.
