I managed to go for a fishing trip in a charter boat in the Hauraki Gulf and came home with some fresh Schnapper.....yum. I also had my sister who lives in the South Island come to stay, and hang out with us for a weekend which was great.

The Child and Youth Service at Family Link is here to support tamariki aged 7-17 who have a loved one experiencing mental unwellness or addiction, as well as those with neurodiverse whānau. Best of all, our services are completely free!

Our Mental Health Practitioners offer:
• A safe, confidential space to talk about feelings and big emotions.
• Education and tools for understanding mental health, addiction, and neurodivergence.
• A tailored program to support growth, well-being, and nurture coping skills.

How to access our support:

This service is specifically designed to support tamariki aged 7-17 who have a loved one experiencing mental unwellness or addiction, as well as those with neurodiverse whānau. Best of all, our services are completely free!

What we offer:
• A safe, confidential space for tamariki to talk about their feelings and big emotions.
• Education and tools for understanding mental unwellness, addiction, and neurodivergence.
• Tailored programs to support tamariki’s growth, well-being, and coping skills.

How to access our support:
Referrals are easy and can be made by whānau, schools, GPs, or other community services- Just check out our website.
