May the 11th is 'Mothers Day" and a special time to celebrate the women who birthed us. We literally wouldn't be here if it weren't for our mothers. So here's to every single one of you!!

I managed to go for a fishing trip in a charter boat in the Hauraki Gulf and came home with some fresh Schnapper.....yum. I also had my sister who lives in the South Island come to stay, and hang out with us for a weekend which was great.

The Child and Youth Service at Family Link is here to support tamariki aged 7-17 who have a loved one experiencing mental unwellness or addiction, as well as those with neurodiverse whānau. Best of all, our services are completely free!

Our Mental Health Practitioners offer:
• A safe, confidential space to talk about feelings and big emotions.
• Education and tools for understanding mental health, addiction, and neurodivergence.
• A tailored program to support growth, well-being, and nurture coping skills.

How to access our support:

We had a very interesting and informative presentation from the Manager of Bay of Plenty Addiction Services to our February Support Group. I encourage families to come to the Support Group which is advertised on our website and also in our newsletter.
