✨Only 2-days left to book for our 'Art of Acceptance' Half Day course✨

When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations we tend to regard the situation itself as the problem. But if we learn to maintain a peaceful mind, we can be happy all the time regardless of our circumstances.

✨3-days left✨

At this half-day course we will learn Buddhist techniques to help us respond to difficulties with a positive mind. In this way, we will be able to accept painful feelings, overcome minds such as anger and frustration, and discover true inner peace.

Class is on this Thursday, 7pm at Brain Watkins Hall (just behind the historic house on the corner of Cameron Road and Elizabeth Street).

We'll be looking at concentration and overcoming distractions.

Many people don't realise correct concentration is a calm, relaxed, clear, and focused mind. It's not tense or forced.

Come learn more and also enjoy two guided meditations.

Just a reminder, there's no classes for the next 2 weeks.

Well be back in action (calmly 😅) 7pm Thursday 18 September.

The next 2 weeks is a good time to reflect on what we've learned and practice these teachings in our daily lives. It would be great to try any of the following:

* Watching our mind - what states of mind make us feel happy, and which make us feel unhappy? How do we feel when our mind is relatively calm and peaceful?

* Focusing on other peoples good qualities and not their faults. How do we feel towards people after doing this for a few days? Do we have warmer, kinder feelings towards them?

* Try to rejoice in other peoples good qualities and good fortune. How does that feel compared to feeling jealous?

It's wonderful to listen to Buddha's teaching (Dharma), but it's even better to practice them, gain our own experience, and take them into our heart. Then the Dharma will gradually influence more of our actions, and we will know the value of these teachings from our own experience.

See you in 2 weeks 🤗
