Postpartum recovery is about more than just exercise, it’s about understanding your body again.

Our 10-week Beyond the Bump program combines safe, progressive movement with women’s health education, helping you rebuild strength, confidence, and connection to your body after pregnancy and birth.

Throughout the program we’ll cover topics like:
• Pelvic floor recovery
• Returning to exercise safely
• Core and diastasis re**us
• Managing leaks, prolapse and pressure
• Breathing and movement patterns

Start date: April 21st
Pilates class: Thursday 9.30am
Strength class: Tuesday 10.30am

This is a supportive space to learn, move and ask questions, while gradually building strength alongside other mums going through the same stage of life.

Suitable from 6+ weeks postpartum (with clearance)

Big congrats to our legend Bryna on her promotion to Intermediate Physiotherapist! 🎉

Bryna has been part of the team for the past 2 years (how fast has that gone?!) working with everyone from everyday clients to top-level athletes. Along the way, she’s put in the work behind the scenes too—joining in-service trainings, case discussions, and completing courses in dry needling, VALD testing, sporting lower limb injuries, and her personal favourite, Mat Work Pilates.

We’re so proud to have Bryna on the Beyond team and couldn’t be happier to celebrate this well-deserved milestone with her! 🙌

Want to improve your squat? Don’t just squat more.

Accessory exercises help build the muscles and control that support a stronger, more stable squat. 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

Try adding these into your lower body sessions:
- Goblet squats: reinforce squat pattern
- eccentric hip work: improve hip control
- ankle mobility stretch: assist squat depth
- reverse lunges: single leg strength
- Bulgarian split squats: quad and glute strength

Squat technique: small adjustments can make a big difference 🏋️‍♀️

Whether your training for strength, performance, or injury prevention, good squat form helps you move efficiently and reduce unnecessary strain on your body.

✅Do:
- keep your neck in neutral position
- maintain an upright chest
- let upper body and hips lift at same time
- press your knees outward
- engage core throughout the movement

❌Don’t:
- let your chest collapse forward
- let your hips move up first
- rush the movement
- let your knees cave inward

Focus on control, alignment, and quality reps over speed

Before loading up your squat, make sure your body is ready to move well 🏋️‍♂️

A good warm up helps activate key muscles, improve mobility, and reduce injury risk so you can get the most out of your workout.

Try this quick squat warm up routine:
1. Deep squat rotations
2. Leg swings
3. Standing hip rotations
4. Weighted squat
5. 90/90 rotations

Taking a few minutes to warm up can make a big difference in how your squat feels and performs.

Move well, lift well 💪

Our incredible massage therapist with the most contagious laugh and seriously firm sports massage pressure 💪 She’s been part of the team for two years now and has built a very loyal client base 🙌.

Beyond Physio is hosting drop in pilates classes for the next four weeks. Classes are suitable to all levels, all equipment is provided and will be 45min long.

So no excuse for not giving this a go, the cost is $10 per session attend one or all of them.

From term 2 we will run a 10 week pilates block at the same location and same time, starting from the 20th April.
