We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to share spaces like this with our community 🤍🌿

Yesterday we gathered for our Rongoā in te Māra Wānanga, Spending time amongst the māra reconnecting with te taiao, learning about different plants, plant identification, and deepening our understanding of rongoā and the healing our whenua provides.

There is something special about coming together in these spaces slowing down, breathing in the māra, sharing kōrero, mātauranga, laughter, and connection with one another ✨

Rongoā is not only about the plants themselves, but also about the relationships we build with the whenua, with each other, and within ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who came and shared their wairua with us. We look forward to many more beautiful days learning, healing, and growing together 🌱

On the 6th of May, we held our Māmā & Pēpi Rongoā Wānanga here at Te Ōturu Oranga 🌿🤍

It was a beautiful day of learning, connection, and healing, where Matua Rob shared his knowledge around safe rongoā practices for māmā and their pēpi. Creating spaces like these reminds us of the strength that comes through wāhine supporting wāhine, reconnecting with mātauranga, and nurturing both ourselves and our pēpi in gentle and meaningful ways ✨

To all our ataahua wāhine who joined us, thank you for bringing your warmth, openness, and wairua into the space. We hope you left feeling held, empowered, and connected.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back again soon 🤍

Kia Ora Koutou,

I’m sure most of you know Hone who works down at our beautiful māra — well, his beautiful wāhine facilitates this Family Constellation Group Event 💫

This isn’t a structured or “fixed” session — it’s one where things unfold as they are meant to on the day. As the kōrero goes, what is meant to be, will be.

If you’re wanting to try something new, explore a little deeper within yourself, or just be held in a safe and supportive space, I really encourage you to go along. It’s a beautiful day of connection, reflection, and healing.

🗓 3rd of May

If you’d like to follow their journey, head over to Kiwi Homesteaders on Facebook or Instagram.

We love being able to share opportunities like this with our whaiora and community — keeping everyone connected to the kaupapa happening around us 🤍

Healing doesn’t always come from doing more — sometimes it comes from allowing, from being present, and from trusting the process. Kia tau te rangimārie ki roto i a tātou katoa. ✨

Kia ora koutou,

Have you ever wondered what our māra team gets up to during their days? 🌱

Yesterday was a busy and productive one! The team sowed three varieties of cabbage and three varieties of broccoli, along with some snowball cauliflower and nutty celery. They also spent time experimenting with cuttings — including rosemary, guava, and Mexican flower.

Our māra is a space of learning, growth, and connection, and our community is more than welcome to come and visit us anytime. We’d love to have you there 💚

Kia ora e te whānau,

Our quarterly pānui for the start of the year is here ✨
This one is a reflection of all the mahi happening across our space from our kaimahi, our kaupapa, and the aroha that sits behind it all.

We’re really proud to share this with our community, and grateful to everyone who contributed to bringing it together 💚

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Easter 🐣✨ take this time to rest, reset, and be with your loved ones.

Ngā Waiora o te Māra 🌱

We are so fortunate to have our māra a space that gives back in so many ways.
Not only does it nourish our community with fresh kai and rongoā, it also offers a place to slow down, to breathe, and to reconnect.

Nestled in our taiao, surrounded by the calm of nature, Ngā Waiora o te Māra holds a quiet kind of magic where growth is not just in the soil, but within ourselves too.

This is a place of abundance.
Of sharing.
Of wairua.

A space where the whenua provides, and we are reminded to do the same 🌿
