Kia ora koutou e te whānau,

We are excited to be welcoming back another “Within Each Season” wānanga guided by Kandy and Summer🌙

This wānanga creates a sacred and intentional space for wāhine to pause, breathe, and reconnect with their inner knowing. Guided by Te Taiao, our atua and tūpuna, we come together to remember who we are, to release what no longer serves us, and to reclaim the mana, voice, and essence that has always lived within.

Last year, this wānanga was such a beautiful and powerful experience (Big Mihi to Kandy and Summer), and we know our wāhine have been patiently waiting for its return so here it is! ✨
Spaces are limited and will be first in, first served, so we encourage you to register early.

We cannot wait to sit in this space with you 🤍

Tēnā koutou e te whānau o Tamawhariua,

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou for coming into our space last Thursday morning to take part in a Rongoā Wānanga with Rob. He tino pai ki a mātou te manaaki i a koutou me te noho tahi i tēnei wā.

We began the morning with karakia alongside the staff of Te Ōturu, and the manaakitanga and whakawhanaungatanga were truly felt. This created a calm and grounded start to the day, allowing everyone to connect, be present, and prepare for the learning ahead.

Rob, our rongoā practitioner, spent time with our whānau from Tamawhariua identifying plants and sharing knowledge about their uses. Moving through our beautiful wāhi, they were able to reconnect with the whenua and with each other. It was a meaningful opportunity to share kōrero, ask questions, and deepen understanding of rongoā Māori in a supportive and respectful space.

We hope you enjoyed your time with us and felt welcomed and comfortable within this environment. We truly valued the opportunity to come together.

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa,
Mauri ora.

On Tuesday, we shared a beautiful day with some of our whaiora — creating space to reflect on the year that’s been, to reset, and to refocus on the journey ahead.

We want to take this moment to mihi all of our whaiora, whānau, and everyone who has engaged with our services throughout the year. Your trust, openness, and commitment to your own wellbeing does not go unnoticed.

Wherever you are on your journey, please remember — you are not alone. We walk alongside you, always. 🩵

Kia ora koutou,

Our staff here at Te Ōturu had the privilege of taking part in a Plant ID Wānanga with our rongoā guru, Matua Rob. He created a beautiful space for us, sharing resources on rongoā rākau and guiding us through different native rākau such as Koromiko and Kōwhai—their uses, their healing properties, and how they can support different hauora needs.

We were also given a booklet packed with mātauranga, helping us deepen our understanding of the native rākau that surround the space we work in every day.

To top it off, each of us was gifted a koauau and kawakawa panipani.

Ngā mihi Matua Rob—our team truly appreciates you, your mahi, the mātauranga you carry, and your wisdom. It was an amazing morning filled with learning, connection, and aroha for our taiao.
