Our massage therapist Isolde is traning hard at present for Hyrox Paris 2026- have you heard of it??

Hyrox is a global fitness racing sport combining 8 km of running with eight functional strength stations, designed to be accessible for all fitness levels. Held indoors, participants complete a 1 km run followed by one workout station, repeating this sequence eight times. Wow go Isolde!

Isolde has been training hard and trying to fit it all in with a busy summer in the clinic! 💪💪💪💪

Introducing Isolde to the team 🙌
We’re excited to welcome Isolde, a fantastic therapist with loads of experience.

Isolde is a qualified physio from France and brings a wealth of knowledge to our clinic.
Isolde will be available from the afternoons through to the evenings, making it easier for both locals and hikers to get the treatment they need after a long day on the tracks or at work.
We’re stoked to have her on board — welcome, Isolde!

My name is Isolde, I’m a 30-year-old physiotherapist from France.
This year marks 10 years of experience, with a specialization in sports recovery.
I’ve had the opportunity to work with international rugby teams such as the All Blacks, as well as teams in Australia and Japan.
Listening to the body and prioritising each person’s well being are at the heart of my practice.

We’re back into normality now that the school term has started! The last few weeks have been full of adventures — and plenty of time spent keeping a close eye on Mahe’s tracker as he completed his epic journey from Cape Reinga to Bluff!

Now that the adventure is done, it’s back to school for him and back to work for us!

We’ve also welcomed a new massage therapist to the team — Isolde, a qualified physiotherapist from France — Isolde will help us through the next few busy months. We’ll introduce her properly in another post shortly.

14yr old Mahe is just a week away from Bluff - he's biked over 2000kms from Cape Reinga! He's had an incredible adventure so far.

Mahe always knew he wanted to ride the length of New Zealand solo one day.

After we completed our family trip back in 2021, he said, “One day I’m going to do it again — but on my own.”

Now, at just 14 years old, he’s making that dream a reality. Riding solo, pushing himself every day, and proving that big dreams don’t have an age limit.

Mahe also wanted his journey to mean something more. He chose to fundraise for our local Fiordland Marine Search & Rescue team — an incredible group who receive very little government funding yet give so much to our community.

Fiordland Marine Search and Rescue delivers a 24/7 volunteer water rescue service across Southland and Fiordland’s rivers, lakes, and coastline — often in areas beyond the reach of other services. With increasing recreational water use and more frequent extreme weather events, maintaining a fully trained rescue team is critical.

This cause is especially close to our hearts, with Adrian (Mahe’s Dad) having been actively involved with Fiordland Marine SAR for almost 10 years.

Since starting the bike trip Mahe has raised just over $2.5k for Fiordland Marine SAR! But his goal is $7k.

The team are currently raising funds to train and equip a new volunteer rescue swimmer as part of our succession planning. Aiming for $10,000, This funding will provide essential rescue equipment, flight time and specialist training, including pre-hospital emergency care and required aviation courses.
