This is a bit exciting!! Watch on live stream this Tuesday through the socials.

It was so awesome to be one of three finals judges this year for the Auckland / Hauraki Dairy Industry Awards - Dairy Trainee Competition.

Having been through sharefarmer judging myself and helped with organising behind the scenes for different regions over the years, I remember the nerves and all the feels that come with putting yourself out there.

It takes courage and drive, but you grow so much through the process and meet some incredibly fun and uplifting people.

Wishing the contestants all the best on Tuesday night!!

A big thank you to all the volunteers, committee members and sponsors who keep these awards running in our region there is so much work that goes into it 🤎

If you’ve thought about entering, just do it next October! And if you’re not ready yet, don’t worry. Enjoy the learning and the connections you make along the way. It doesn’t matter how experienced or how new you are in the industry it will help you learn a lot about yourself, your farming career or agribusiness.

P.S. The prizes are worth it 😉

Sunflowers brightening the farm office today, so grateful for the garden on these gloomy days.🌻

The last couple of weeks have been full of hormone and cycle support, breastfeeding care, endo, acne, and gut health work; using nutrients and herbs alongside meds to support the whole system, not just one symptom.

If your body feels out of sync, it’s okay to ease up and come back to your foundations. We aren’t machines. Farmers are exceptional at adjusting nutrients and support for their stock through seasonal shifts….your body deserves the same kind of care.

The season is changing. What support would feel good for you right now?

I’m at Matamata Health 2000 this Friday with a couple of spots still open, and online appointments available throughout the week. Book online or DM to save your spot.

Very grateful for a full day of learning, connection, feeling inspired and excited to support anyone navigating GLP-1 meds or looking at natural options.

If you’re wanting to stay on meds and would like wrap around support Im here for you.

The best bit about attending the training in person was reconnecting with friends who I trained with and haven’t seen for 13 years. Cup is full 🤍

If you’ve been saying, “I should probably book in…” but haven’t this is your sign.

I’m offering complimentary 10 minute discovery calls. No pressure. No obligation. Just a conversation.

We can explore:
• What’s currently happening for you?
• How does it feel?
• What does it look like?
• What brought you here now?
• How would you like to feel?
• What’s holding you back?
• What might happen if nothing changes?
• Whether you have a plan
• Would you like my help?

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t treatment. It’s starting.

If you’ve been sitting on symptoms, second-guessing yourself, or quietly managing more than you should. Pick a time that suits and let’s see what’s possible.

I can’t wait to hear your story 🤎

Your menstrual cycle is a vital sign.

It reflects the state of your:
• Nervous system
• Endocrine system
• Metabolic health
• Immune function
• Gut integrity
• Detoxification pathways
• Nutrient status
• Hypothalamic–pituitary–ovarian signalling

When the body perceives stress, inflammation, under-fueling, or instability, it adapts and symptoms can develop, including:
• Irregular or absent cycles
• Heavy or painful periods
• PMS, PCOS, endometriosis
• Annovulation
• Anxiety
• Thyroid dysfunction

Supporting these systems early can reduce future hormonal struggles. Don’t suffer in silence 🤎

A naturopathic consultation can help you explore evidence-based nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle strategies to support balance naturally, gently, and safely.

If you notice irregular, heavy, or painful cycles or feel your hormones may be out of balance personalised support is available online or in-person.

Dm if you have a question or book online if you are ready to get started.

Here’s a snap from the weekend. When one job leads into another!

Grateful to have scored a fun and easy job driving the Massey. It made for a cute spontaneous Labour weekend date tiki touring to check on the young stock and silage paddocks at the run off which ended up being a good opportunity to fix a couple of pot holes in the race. When the sun’s shining - we’re into it!

Today I was lucky to get all my farm jobs done before the weather turned which was perfect timing my for easing back into clinic mode!

✔️ Admin ticked off
✔️ Dispensary restock ordered
✔️ Client supplements, tests & herbal tonics made up

Hope you all had a lovely Labour Weekend whether you were on farm, around the house, or beaching it!

Thinking of all the farmers and communities down south doing it tough right now 🫶🏻

Here you will experience a clinical tailored approach to help you on your journey of health and wellness

Kirstin Mathis is a degree qualified Natural health practitioner with a Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine (2012) from Charles Sturt University in Australia. Which she simultaneously studied for a Diploma of Naturopathy and Diploma of Herbal Medicine (2013) from the South Pacific College of Natural Medicine in Ellerslie, Auckland.

Kirstin had been running a part-time clinic in Paeroa in the mighty Waikato from 2015-2016 before taking the leap and going full-time in 2016. As apart of her core training for the Bachelor of Health Science in Complementary Medicine along with clinical work; body work was also part of it. For this she studied relaxation massage, sports massage, Lymphatic drainage technique, MET (Muscular energy technique) and G*T (General articulacy technique). This was put to good use in 2016 she became the Team Masseuse for Paeroa West Senior A rugby Team and also Finalist’s Waihi Athletic and Rugby Senior A team. In 2017 she continued as team masseuse for Waihi Athletic and Rugby Senior A team and they again become finalists - just missing out by a point that was an amazing game!

In 2017 she moved with her fiancé down to Central Hawkes Bay where she now runs her practice ‘Kirstin Mathis Natural Health Clinic’ on the Takapau plains. The clinic rooms are ideal providing professional, private and comfortable consulting and therapy rooms for clients to come and seek treatments. She also has a herbal dispensary set up so if your after a herbal formula to boost your immune system or balance one or several of your body systems the ability to individually formulate a supplement is right there. She also formulates and makes her own range of natural creams and skin care. This has been a passion of hers since 9 years old and has had plenty of experience making natural remedies for Racehorses as well.

For more info or to book visit her website www.kirstinmathis.co.nz or send through a Facebook message, email or call the clinic on 06 211 8948 or alternatively on 021 296 4069.
