The votes are in, the people have spoken!

Congratulations to Julian Godfery, the winner of the Forté Recruitment People's Choice Award at the IHC Art Awards 2025! 🏆

Julian’s stunning piece, The Jaguar: Can you see me?, created with pen and ink on paper, received overwhelming support from the public.

A huge thank you to our sponsor, Forté Recruitment, whose generous $2,000 prize supports Julian’s incredible talent.

Anita Murdoch, Director of Forté Recruitment, says:
“We are thrilled Julian won the People’s Choice Award this year. We are fortunate to have two of Julian's pieces in our office and look forward to seeing his future work. We’re also sending him a prize pack of art supplies alongside the award money. Congratulations, Julian.”

Melika King, the new owner of The Jaguar, shares:
“I’m so happy for Julian to hear that his artwork has won the People’s Choice Award. The Jaguar will hang with Invisible Magic and Monarch, which are two of his other pieces that I’m the very grateful owner of. The detail he puts into his work is extraordinary and I look forward to seeing what he produces next.”

Thanks to all the talented artists who entered and everyone who voted for their favourite artwork.

Breaking Barriers to Learning: Kathleen’s Journey Begins.

At the end of July, Kathleen—one of our neurodiverse clients—took a bold step forward. With support from the Enrich Group and our partnership with Te Pūkenga, she enrolled in her first micro-credential: Introduction to Generative Artificial Intelligence.

On August 4th, Kathleen officially began her course. Since then, she’s been attending learning sessions every Monday and Thursday, studying at home, and steadily progressing—already completing 40% of the module.

Despite finding the content challenging, Kathleen’s commitment is unwavering. She’s actively taking notes, researching independently, and even downloaded the Copilot AI app to support her learning journey.

📸 Kathleen’s dedication is clear—here she is, fully engaged in her studies, using both digital tools and handwritten notes. Her workspace reflects her commitment to growth, surrounded by images of peers and mentors who inspire her.

This is what inclusion looks like: personalised support, meaningful partnerships, and the belief that everyone deserves access to education.

Kathleen’s story is just the beginning. With continued guidance, she’s on track to complete her course by September 29th—and we couldn’t be prouder.

Today marks Autism Awareness Day, a day dedicated to promoting acceptance, inclusion, and understanding of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Autism affects millions of people worldwide, and yet, it remains often misunderstood.

On this day, we shine a light on the unique experiences, strengths, and challenges faced by autistic individuals and their families.

By fostering a culture of acceptance and inclusivity, we can work towards creating a society where autistic individuals can thrive, reach their full potential, and live fulfilling lives

Let us use this day to raise awareness, promote acceptance, and celebrate the diversity and individuality that autism brings to our communities and enrich our everyday lives.
