Farewell SOAR……Welcome Vigour Te Awamutu.

No going back now!

All signage up and looks great, thanks to Alexander Images, they turned this job around within a week and installed in the rain this morning.

We’ve still a few things to complete the transition so please bear with us if we still answer the phones as SOAR (some habits hard to break) and our uniforms and business cards are still SOAR. All in good time!

The SOAR website has been deactivated and all info and bookings can now be accessed and made at www.vigourphysio.co.nz and then select Te Awamutu.

Thanks again to everyone that has supported me over the past six years, still a bit emotional and raw and feel I’m loosing a bit of my identity BUT onwards and upwards.

This change is going to be fantastic for the way Physio is going and with Clarke directing the clinicians and our experienced senior physio team, Topsey, Lynda, Rebecca and Gemma their wealth of knowledge, experience and techniques are such a valuable asset for Te Awamutu.

A bittersweet emotional day today for me with the migration of SOAR Physio into Vigour Physio Te Awamutu and our emails now gayleen@vigourphysio.co.nz etc..

A decade ago Paul and I created SOAR together and after 5 years he left me to it, to continue on. My biggest challenge was not being a clinician, which is really tough trying to run a business not being able to step in when needed. But with great staff we muddled through and still offered the public an amazing service and treatment having quite a few laughs along the way.

With Physio constantly changing and the demands even greater, for the business to be even more successful Clarke McKenzie (many will remember him from the fresh faced Irish new grad 15 years ago) has come to my aid now we are co-directors of Vigour Physio Te Awamutu.

With Clarke’s professionalism and Physio skill set he takes on the Clinical Director role whilst I’ll do all the admin, accounts, accreditation back office stuff all the while still being able to talk, which I’m good at!

So between the two of us and our awesome Physio team, Topsey, Lynda, Rebecca, Megan and Gemma Vigour Physio Te Awamutu will thrive and will be able to offer a new level of care and rehabilitation.

The next step is the signage, uniforms, business cards etc.. which I’m sure will be just as hard for me but onwards and upwards and know I’ve made the right decision.

Can’t believe it’s been a whole 10 years…..so much has happened in those 10 years but we made it and I’m proud of that. Thank you to everyone especially my supportive team who’ve been there through thick and thin and seen the best and worst of me but stuck by.

In five days time SOAR Physio will be 10 years old.

It’s been a pretty tough slog particularly the past five years but we’ve dug deep and navigated through an ownership change, COVID and staff shortages to be in the best place we are now offering a fantastic service and treatment.

I am so proud to still be here after ten years but I couldn’t have done it without the awesome support of the team, Physios and admin staff that keep me in check and who continue to show up everyday and are as passionate about SOAR Physio and their patients and their rehabilitation as I am.

Finally thanks to you, the patients who continue to support us and allow us to be the best we can be and getting you the best outcomes for your injury and rehab.

There are some major changes coming in the next month or so, to make us even better so watch this space.

Wow……loving when patients bring in morning tea as a thank you for their treatment and discounted charge being a Te Awamutu College student.

Thank you from a very grateful and hungry SOAR Physio team and was our pleasure to help.

As a reminder we offer a Monday and Friday clinic at Te Awamutu College from 9am - 11.30am with the ACC co-payment reduced to $5.00 per session.
