We’re currently seeing a large amount of viral illness as well a rise in strep throat cases in our Te Kauwhata community.

If you are concerned about yourself or someone in your household who has symptoms like a sore throat, fever, swollen glands, or difficulty swallowing, please contact your registered medical centre for advice.

Early treatment of Strep Throat is important to prevent complications and stop it from spreading, especially in our Māori and Pacific whanau.

Let’s look after each other — stay home if you’re unwell, and remember to wash hands regularly. 💚
