Just some "Food for thought" As we Farewell Febuary and Welocme March 2026.
Every number represents a person, a whānau, a community.
An ambulance incident could be a cardiac arrest at home, a crash on a rural road, or someone who has fallen and needs care. Behind every 111 call is a person needing the right skills and the right response.
While our ambulance crews are there when emergencies strike, our Community Health programs are focused on health and wellbeing. From ensuring people get to vital medical appointments, to training people in CPR, or enabling people to stay at home with health monitoring.
When we share our data we’re not just reporting activity, we're marking those moments and the communities we serve 💚💛🚑

As we come together to reflect on Waitangi Day, a time to honour our history, culture, and unity as a nation, many of us will be hitting the road to spend time with whānau and friends.
Let’s make sure we travel safely and arrive in good spirits. Here are some key reminders:
Drive with Care – Show patience and kindness to others on the road. A little courtesy goes a long way.
Plan Ahead – Expect busier roads, take your time, and allow extra travel time.
Rest & Recharge – Stop for regular breaks to stay alert—our beautiful country has plenty of spots to stretch your legs.
Stay Focused – Keep your eyes on the road and let your co-pilot handle the playlist and directions.
Be Prepared – Keep a first aid kit in your car and know where the nearest AEDs are located.
Waitangi Day is a time to come together in kotahitanga (unity) and manaakitanga (care for one another) no matter where you spend it!
Let’s carry that same spirit onto our roads and ensure everyone gets where they need to go safely.
