One sun, two beaches.
61km between them.
One dog.
One gull.
Two boys.
Many many trillions of grains of sand.
One great ocean.
One great sky.
I also ate one delicious licorice gelato ( .queen.gelato )and one very disappointing antipasto toasted sandwich (I won’t mention) and managed to sneak in three cups of coffee but it was a big day.

The tally is both irrelevant (and dull) and utterly profoundly essential because of course, some days, we really need to count on our fingers what it is we are grateful for.
