Feet First

Feet First Research shows that 75% of all health problems can be linked to tension and stress.

Reflexology treats the whole person, body, mind and spirit to induce a state of harmony and balance, it helps to promote well being and may increase energy, stimulating the body’s own potential to heal both physically and emotionally. Reflexology is a complementary health therapy based on the principal that points on the feet and hands are linked to energy pathways corresponding to all glands, organs and parts of the body. When these parts are stressed beyond their tolerance due to illness, injury or disease these communication pathways can get blocked and they stop functioning properly which in turn impairs the health of your body. Reflexology allows the body to attain balance both physical and emotional and help normalise its functions. At ‘Feetfirst’ you will be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the benefits that Reflexology can bring, surrounded by gentle calming music and a beautiful garden. Each treatment is structured to the needs of the client, so each treatment is totally personalised and tailored to your individual needs and concerns. Just some of the benefits of Reflexology.....

It’s still World Reflexology Week!! 👣👣🌻
22nd-28th September.
Reflexology is rooted in ancient traditions, with origins tracing back to Egypt, China and India. The practice is based on the principle that specific points on the feet, hands and ears correspond to different organs and systems within the body. By applying focused pressure to these areas, Reflexologists aim to trigger the body’s natural healing processes and restore internal balance.

World Reflexology Week! 22nd-28th September 👣👣🌻
Reflexology for memory loss.

Reflexology can play an important role in reducing stress, and with that, reducing stress-related cognitive decline.
We all know how stress can affect our memory..
🔹drawing a blank during a test or presentation
🔹forgetting where we left our keys or phone while rushing out the door.

Stress impacts recall and clear thinking.

Living with dementia is stressful. The stress can often increase memory loss and confusion.

🔅Reflexology often helps lower stress, which in turn may ease stress related memory loss.
Sadly, increasing memory loss is too often accepted as an inevitable progression of dementia, when in fact stress ( or another underlying issue) may be the cause.

💜Reflexology has been found to help reduce stress related issues , it may also help individuals with memory loss adapt more smoothly into new surrounding , such as moving into a senior community, while is extremely stressful.

Did you know every area of your body is mirrored on your feet, hands and ears?
Reflexology is based on the principle that specific points on the feet, known as reflex areas, correspond to different organs, glands and body systems. By applying gentle, targeted pressure to these points, a reflexologist works to encourage improved circulation, support the body’s natural processes and help restore balance between systems.
The foot map you see here shows the location of these reflex areas. For example, the tips of the toes relate to the head and sinuses, the arch corresponds to digestive organs, and the heal, reflects the lower back and pelvic areas.

During World Reflexology Week , we are highlighting the science behind this centuries old practice and the benefits it can offer in modern life.
Book a session now and experience how reflexology supports your whole body from the ground up.

World Reflexology Week! 22nd-28th Sept
A question we often get asked is, how can Reflexology help me?

The primary aim of reflexology is relaxation. By stimulating the nerve pathways, it can induce muscle relaxation and help the body to balance itself.
Reflexology has been shown to…
Relieve pain
Reduce stress and tension
Support acute and chronic conditions
Balance the whole body systems
Revitalise energy
Activate the body to cleanse toxins and impurities
And so much much more….☺️

How does Reflexology work? 👣🌻

Reflexology is based on the principle that the anatomy of the body is reflected in miniature, on reflex zones on the feet, hands and ears.
Stimulating a reflex can trigger a response in the corresponding area of the body.
With the application of specific pressure by a practitioner’s hands, thumbs, and fingers to reflex points in the feet, hands or ears, it helps to create a healthy harmonious state within the body and triggers the body’s natural powers of self healing.
Very wonderful and amazing! 🤩

Your feet and hands have an enormous amount of nerve endings that are being stimulated during a Reflexology Treatment.
This stimulation helps activate nerve pathways that in turn allow the body to process more information about muscle tension and position of joints, thus helping the body to better balance and body alignment. The brain receives stimulation through the nerve endings in the feet ( or hands ) that produce relaxation and assist in processing emotionally relevant information.
