When we said we were bringing in the big guns, we weren’t beating around the bush. We think it’s about time we formally introduce Revive’s newest weapon to you all!

✨ MEET LAUREN - First Class Honours, Rugby World Cup experienced Physiotherapist & Sports Massage Therapist. ✨

Lauren has a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy with a strong clinical and sporting background. She brings elite-level experience into the clinic. Lauren also holds a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage, is HCPC registered, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and is trained in PHICIS Level 2 with Emergency First Aid and advanced respiratory competencies.

With 7+ years in sport — including a standout career highlight working with two teams during the Rugby World Cup, and serving as Lead Physio for the Hammerheads international invitational team — with major tournaments including Amsterdam and Dubai 7s. 🏉

Lauren has operated across all levels, from club to international tournaments, managing acute injuries, delivering structured rehab, and guiding athletes safely back to performance. Her expertise spans pitch-side trauma care through to post-operative rehabilitation, with a strong focus on injury prevention and load management.
Alongside her sports work, Lauren has developed depth in hospital settings, progressing to a senior role in a High Dependency Unit with a focus on respiratory physiotherapy and complex patient care.

Combining evidence-based practice with real-world athletic insight, Lauren specialises in musculoskeletal assessment, injury diagnosis, and tailored rehab plans to get you moving — and performing — at your best.

We’re absolutely THRILLED to have her in the clinic.

Re+vive South Canterbury is ON THE MOVE! 🤩💃🏼

We are absolutely ecstatic to announce that we are relocating the clinic to, The Complex at 300 Hilton Highway, Washdyke.
Some of you may be familiar with the location, formerly Physio Fix & Fitness alongside aubreypodiatry. We have been working tirelessly together with our friends at aubreypodiatry & physiofixandfitness to bring this to life.

Rest assured we will still be working very closely with the Morse Chiropractic team and will continue to refer and liaise with Steve & Ian.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Morse chiropractic and are extremely grateful for the opportunity, support and professional relationships built during our time there.

However it’s time to EXPAND and GROW. 🤗
With our new clinic we are able to provide a wider range of treatments and rehabilitation focused opportunity.
We have a larger treatment space alongside our new rehabilitation gym! 💪🏼

We are extremely excited for this next step in our journey and can’t wait to share this with you all!

You’ve all heard about “knots” and these little devils are something we are commonly questioned about! And for those of you who have been in to catch up with us in the clinic I can almost guarantee you’ve heard Jaime refer to Fascia as that “fibrin mesh” or “spider webbing” 🕸️💪🏼🪢

Understanding fascia is equally essential as comprehending muscle adhesions, as they are interconnected. In laboratory tests, fascia can withstand loads of up to 45kg without exhibiting any signs of tearing, highlighting its significant influence on the body. It serves as a connective tissue that spans every organ, bone, and muscles in the body along with various other structures.

Here at Re+vive South Canterbury we emphasise the importance of addressing the various layers of tissue rather than solely concentrating on conventional muscle pain. My approach encompasses an analysis of structure, balance, motion, planes of movement, and referred pain.

TODAY’S THE DAY 🌼

The ANZ Challenge Series 2024 in support of the incredible Cancer Society South Canterbury is here and we hope you’re all getting geared up to come on down show some love for the athletes and most of all support for the incredible cause.

“1 in 3 could be me”
200 South Cantabrians are diagnosed with cancer every year. It’s too common that cancer has touched almost each and everyone of us in some way or form. Today is all about spreading awareness for the South Canterbury statistics and supporting South Canterbury Cancer Society & The Cancer Society of New Zealand.

We have been working with several of the participating athletes to ensure their fitness and structure is maintained heading into this elite event! 💪🏼

We’re honoured to be apart of an incredible event & we can’t wait to see you all there! Be sure to pop over to the Re+vive tent to say hello between athletes treatments.
