Upcoming Retirement - Dr Jennifer McGechie 👩⚕️
After thirty years of providing general practice care Dr Jennifer McGechie is retiring on October 8th.
She is moving out of Timaru to be near to her family and help them care for their young children. She is also looking forward to pursuing her interests and taking care of her own health.
Jennifer says “It has been my privilege to provide health care to you all over these years. I thank you for your confidence and trust during these years.
I have been fortunate to work with a wonderful team through all these years at the Timaru Medical Centre. Dr Fanning and I have always worked hard to maintain our great team and I am grateful to them all for their support.”
Our medical centre has other excellent General and Nurse Practitioners that you can book appointments with, in the same way that you would if Dr McGechie was on leave. These practitioners have access to your confidential medical records and will be able to continue to provide quality medical care for you. We are also always working hard to recruit new medical practitioners.
In the next year Dr McGechie will be continuing to do paperwork for the practice and therefore you may sometimes still see her name on your scripts when you collect them.
