Spinal Disc Injuries!
If you have ever experienced strange or extreme pain in your hips, glutes, legs and even feet, this diagram explains the nerve pathways down the legs.
In my past I’ve had symptoms through L4/L5 L5/S1, alongside my intense back pain, spasms and tightness I also had issues ranging from extreme nerve pain to pins and needles, numbness, burning, hot/cold sensitivity and even drop foot in my left side.
I’ve also experienced very bad hip pain at L3/L4 so much so that I went and got a hip MRI done because I didn’t have any back pain during that time.
When nerves get compromised you can experience a world of hurt and confusion, but all that means is that you have lost your wiggle room to NOT MOVE!
Stimulating the muscles, and teaching the nerves to calm down is a priority.
Disc injuries don’t always heal and your body can just adapt to them still being present, even while I am 100% pain free, my MRI scans still show structural damage!
It can be scary, confusing and leave you feeling stuck in a loop of being afraid to move yet feeling worse when you don’t!
The key is to be doing the right things regularly and in the right order!
The beginners bundle is the best start that I can recommend if you are stuck in the pain cycle! It is all of the stuff that holds me together and has kept me pain free the last 10 years since my initial injury and even helped me manage flare ups from recently learning I have spinal arthritis and further breakdowns in my spine - I can’t change my genetics but I can stack the strength and mobility odds in my favour 💪🏼💪🏼
