ABOUT REIKI AND HYPNOTHERAPY
REIKI (pronounced Ray-Key) is a simple and safe, natural healthcare system that can be easily learned by anyone for self-care and the care of family and friends. Reiki is a natural, vibrational, hands-on healing practice that supports the body’s self healing ability by using the presence of universal life force energy. “The act of laying hands on the human or animal body to comfort and relieve pain is as old as instinct. When experiencing pain, the first thing most people do is to put their hands on it.” [Diane Stein – Essential Reiki]

Reiki is most often translated as "universal life force energy", it is a combination of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Spirit" or "Universe" and Ki which is "life force energy". Universal life force has as many names as there are civilisations but is most often known as Ki, Chi or Prana. When your life force energy is high and flowing freely, you are healthy and happy. If your life force energy is low, you are vulnerable to illness, depression and stress. Reiki works on all bodily levels, the physical body, the mental body and the body of your spirit. Reiki is safe and natural and it has been described as the activating energy of the universe, which can accelerate the body's natural ability to heal physical ailments and disease as well as ailments of a mental, emotional and spiritual nature. NOTE: Reiki Practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they prescribe supplements or medication, or perform medical treatment, nor interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. It is recommended that you see a doctor, or licensed health care professional for any medical condition you may have. HYPNOSIS is a state of trance, which is often described as a state of focused and relaxed awareness anywhere between being awake and asleep. When a Hypnotherapist assists you into a state of Hypnosis and then presents you with verbal suggestions and visualisations designed to help you in achieving any desired goal, or making any positive change; then that process is called Hypnotherapy. A person who is willing to accept change may benefit or notice improvement from Hypnotherapy for hundreds of issues, situations and conditions such as:
Changing habits
Addictions
Insomnia
Weight control
Goal setting and Motivation
Confidence and Self-Esteem
Anxiety and Stress
Obsessive Compulsive Disorders [OCD's]
Pain Management
etc etc etc

Something we heartily recommend building into your early morning routines. We would love to hear how this goes.

Image description: - Your body is your first point of connection. So when you wake up, immediately choose to be in a kind mood. Soften your eyes. With a friendly attitude scan your body and notice how you feel. Acknowledge any discomfort. Take two or three slow, soft and deep breaths. Gently Stretch.

Whenever our world is turned upside down, wherever there is a wound, or things go black and all is unknown, the veil thins. Wherever there is a vulnerability, a crack in our defenses, in our sureties and our normalcies, the veil thins. Whenever there is a dying of something, our lives as we knew them, our old selves, our bodies, a loved one, the veil thins.
In this liminal, broken open place, the world and its interconnections seem to come alive in ways unexplainable. Here there is no division between the mundane and the magical...The departed turn into owls, spirits knock at doors, appeals are made by fox and coyote and crow. Here we come face to face with cougar on our evening walk, whom we had dreamt of the night before. Here the visions and voices of the sacred come to us. Here we learn the language of nature herself.
Only, it is not the world that has come alive, but we ourselves who have. We are the ones waking up, removing the sleep and the veils from our eyes, finally seeing clearly what has always been. Seeing not just what is in front of us, but what is beyond, beneath, above, around, within. Seeing not with the eyes of our mind, but the eyes of our soul.
And now, during these troubling though numinous times, the veil is thin and growing thinner. More than ever people are dreaming of ancestors and loved ones who've crossed over coming to help, to guide, to comfort. More than ever people are dreaming big dreams, showing us what is real and true about ourselves and the world we live in. Lifting the veil on all things. Lighting our way, and the world's way, forward.
And here where the veil is thin, miracles occur. Not the miracles we might ask for, not cures or solutions, but the miracles that remind us we belong to a universe far more mysterious, more interwoven, more astonishing than we could ever comprehend.
Miracles that may not solve the misfortunes in our lives, but instead allow us to soften into the-not-solving, allow us to live as deeply, as widely, as creatively and magically as possible. Miracles that may not change our circumstances, but that change us. These are the miracles of transformation.
But no transformation can occur, no death and rebirth are possible, without passing through this betwixt and between place, without resting awhile in not knowing what will come of us or where it is all headed. Because it is precisely in the vulnerability of not knowing, that the veil thins, that this magic opens to us, that transformation's potential awaits ..

How brave you are for slowing down. For not finishing that to-do list.

How courageous you are for not crossing that finish line, because your body said “enough.”

How fearless you are for choosing the quiet of your soul over those voices driving you always towards more.

How bold, how rebellious -
you, out there,
honoring your own natural rhythm,
going against the culture’s breakneck speed.

We tend to make heroes of those hungry with ambition, relentlessly doing, producing always more.

We applaud those who refuse to stop or rest. Who push themselves so hard in the name of achievement, that they sacrifice their body and soul and heart in the process. We celebrate those who are ill or aging but never show it, never slow down, never reveal a moment of vulnerability.

This drivenness can be heroic, at times. It can be necessary for our survival or the greater good.
But,

I want to make heroes of those who slow down.
I want to make heroes of those who listen to their bodies, who do not strive for more than what the soul truly needs.
I want to make heroes of those who do not force or push, but surrender to each moment as it opens.

I want to applaud those who may not be driven towards success as we know it, but instead are nurturing something deep and subtle and needed.

I want to celebrate those brave enough to cease all doing, even for a second, and sit with the ache in their hearts. A task many find harder than summiting the highest peak.

I want to make heroes of those who honor their limitations.
Who are unable to keep up with the busy-ness of our times, yet show up to each profound, necessary moment.
It is truly an act of courage and rebellion to do any such thing, in a world demanding you resist your own self, your own rhythm, your own soul.

And the paradox is, that often when we cease our incessant doing, even for a minute, and listen to that quiet voice within, we discover what it is we absolutely must do, and what instead can fall away.

We finally hear the call towards what serves our soul, and what then will serve the world. Nothing more, nothing less.

A hero is simply someone brave.
So come, be softly brave.
Be a new, quieter kind of hero.
Few may applaud, it’s true, but your soul certainly will ..
