Looking forward to presenting at U3A tomorrow in Cambridge and to sharing the amazingness of Child-Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) and the uniqueness of 'Te manawa whanaungatanga mō ngā tamariki katoa' - The heart of relationship for every child! This is the ©slogan for ChildPlayWorks and it couldn't be more perfect for what CCPT provides tamariki as they come into the wonderful CCPT playrooms up and down New Zealand. We are so very privileged!

We are looking forward to this opportunity for ChildPlayWorks to share the wonderful world of Child Centered Play Therapy with the Waikato community 😊

Child Centered Play Therapy: The Heart of Relationship for Every Child

Join us at The Woolshed Te Awa Lifecare at 10 for 10.30 start on Friday June 9th to hear Judi Jacobsen tell us about - Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) - a form of child counselling for children from ages 3 through to 12.

To attend register https://www.u3acambridge.org.nz/register-9th-june-meeting/

The most natural means of communication for tamariki is through play. Play therapists enter the child’s play world to communicate with them and help them understand and resolve psychological and psychosocial challenges, e.g. trauma, separation of parents, loss of a loved one, chronic illness, etc.

The world over there is so much uncertainty, unrest and general confusion. This is hard for adults and can be even more unsettling for children. This post by L.R.Knost provides us with some beautiful and much needed reminders as we work towards being alongside and supporting tamariki/children at this time 🤗

There may not be too long left of 2021, but we feel this lovely quote is so relevant for the remainder of this year and moving forward into future years.

When we change our perspective from attention seeking to connection seeking, so many wonderful positive changes can occur and relationships with tamarki/children are enriched :)
