🌊🏃‍♂️ City to Surf – The Half Marathon Journey 🏃‍♀️🌴
📅 Sunday 09th November 2025

From city streets to sandy shores – the JBWere 21.1km Half Marathon is an adventure like no other. Starting at the Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club, runners set off around the scenic Daisy Hardwick Estuary, where the tide glistens and birdlife cheers you on.

The challenge builds as you conquer the Harbour Bridge, rewarded with sweeping views across the water before the iconic Pilot Bay opens up ahead. From there, it’s the famous Mount Maunganui base track, where rugged coastline meets crashing waves, before the final push onto the golden sands of Mount Maunganui Beach.

💡 We’ve listened to your feedback from 2024 and made some great improvements:
✔️ An extra aid station on course at 4kms
✔️ Electrolyte available at all aid stations from 7kms onwards
✔️ An earlier start time to help you beat the heat
✔️ Wave starts to spread everyone out

It’s 21.1km of grit, determination, and pure Bay of Plenty beauty. 💪🌅

Awesome tane session a fortnight ago still buzzing over a Taupo Marathon event.

Tomorrow we have our tane session at 6pm Muscle & Curves Fitness Centre 💓🙌

Come and have a cuppa with the brothers and do some fellowship as we prepare for the next Kaupapa ⭐💓

People have been asking us is it FEE to join our tane group or register....the answer is it's 💯 FREE, and open to all our tane looking for safe space to grow🙌⭐💓

Kia ora Sth Waikato tane, our local MC Mens Life Matters tane well-being group in partnership with muscle and curves fitness are having a relaunch of their group this week. SWBC have been supporting them from day one and look forward to seeing their their awesome kaupapa.

Doors are open to all our tane that may need a safe space to korero with no judgement.

The tane group is about tautoko our tane (thru korero) that may be going through the hardships of life. With the unstable climate, high unemployment, financials stress, depression, anxiety, and past trauma - having a safe space to korero may be the difference in whether our tane will come home or not.

Grassroots fellowship, aroha, kanohi ki te kanohi, and a listening ear is what our tane need so please join MLM.

When: Wednesday 28th August
Location: MC Muscle & Curves studio Campbell street
Time: 7pm
