In addition to my new hikoi, io has given the karanga to start a side project. This is called

Where I will share my hikoi with God & the beautiful intimate relationship we have. A place where I share the tools God gave me to help me conquer maunga. A place you can come to get some io wano- inspiration from God , Rongoā through korero & stepping stones to building a relationship with io & much more.

Morenaaaaa e te whanau ,

I hope everyone had a beautiful long weekend ?

As usual, it has been busy here at karanga tapu. We have assisted in traditional Māori healing all over the motu & in our hāpori Tuakau, Te puahā ō waikato 🤙🏽 for the last 5 years & have built the most incredible relationships with those who have come to our whare.

We have had the privilege of taking io mahi into some really awesome spaces and places and have loved watching those experience the beautiful blessings of io.

With that being said , I have decided to take a step back from Karanga tapu at the end of this year & rebrand. Karanga tapu will stay with Kyle Ratana.

It has been a pleasure bringing Io - Māori God to many communities over the years to see the positive impact traditional Maori healing has for he tangata.

I will post here when I announce my new business and vendor I.D number for those wanting to continue ACC with me.

My final day is December 17th. Heoi, I will be still taking private bookings next year.

🌿 The Importance of Finding a Safe and Trusted Rongoā Māori Practitioner 🌿

Rongoā Māori is a taonga – a sacred healing practice passed down through our tīpuna, deeply rooted in whakapapa, wairua, and tikanga. As more people seek out traditional healing, it’s more important than ever to ensure you're working with a safe, experienced, and culturally grounded practitioner.

💚 Why it matters:
Rongoā is not just about mirimiri, romiromi, or rākau rongoā – it’s about your mauri, your wairua, your whole being. A true practitioner will honour your mana, uphold tapu and tikanga, and walk alongside you with aroha and integrity.

🛡️ How to identify a safe practitioner:
✅ Are they ACC registered or affiliated with a recognised body?
✅ Do they practice in alignment with tikanga Māori and uphold safety for all?
✅ Are they open about their kōrero tuku iho (lineage/learning)?
✅ Do they provide a clear process for bookings, consent, and follow-up care?
✅ Do they make you feel safe, heard, and respected?

✨ Trust your wairua. If something feels off, it’s okay to ask questions or walk away. Your healing journey deserves protection, respect and the right practitioner to tautoko you.
